    Brad Lanham Concept Art Portfolio

Hey everyone! My name's Brad Lanham aka Lanimal and I'm a freelance artist that's currently looking to get into gaming as a concept artist. I've been trying for a while now and other than a few small freelance jobs here and there, I haven't had much luck, and was hoping to hear some feedback to see what people would like to see more of/ improve.

Any insight given be it art related or general knowledge of getting into the industry will be greatly appreciated.

Anyhow, you can check out my site at www.the-lanimal.blogspot.com to see all the work in my portfolio at the moment, as I'm continually building it.

Wow, really excellent work! Love the character designs. I'm loathe to criticize, as its your only environment piece, but the house scene seems like it could use some love. It's a little lacking in mood. I'd recommend checking out this background art for Kim Possible http://animationartconservation.com/...p=kim_possible There are some really great designs and color choices in there. In fact it might be worthwhile to look up a couple of the artists at the bottom. Hope that is somewhat helpful. Peace.

Thanks, glad you like the characters! Yeah, my environment design is pretty lacking, hence why there's only one image up so far lol. I have a problem visualizing the same emotion and mood in my characters and putting that into my environments. The link you sent me will definitely help though since who knows mood better then the people behind pixar and the like!

    Thanks again for the help!
