ConceptArt.Org 4.0 begins rollout now! Need a job?

The new site for conceptart.org has made great progress. As we wrap up features we will be releasing them over the coming months. Now that our community has education in place, top to bottom, we asked what was the next most important feature...and the answer was "jobs".

In order to provide opportunity to the members here we have built the most comprehensive game art jobs site online. There are a couple hundred gigs available right now, which you all can take advantage of, if you are ready to do so.

http://jobs.conceptart.org/ is the link. There are more jobs there than anywhere else, for this field and I am very happy to see our talented home getting the support it needs to continue to help launch careers and provide in new ways.

In the coming days, the film industry will be there as will animation and the creative fields. Updates will come as the new jobs do, but right now that should be pretty much daily.

Additional features are on the way, but I thought you would want to see this as it is up, free to use, and well...get going!!! Your career move awaits.

Thanks for all the great support over the years. This place is only what we make of it and this was made with everyone here in mind. There will be more to come. Thanks to TheArtDepartment.Org and the deep connections and talent there, we were able to see this done.

    Best,

    This is incredible. Damn.

I will only vaguely echo above sentiments. I think I need a couple more years before I'm at a level that I could apply to most of these jobs; better get cracking!

That's what TAD is for gentlemen, as well as this community. You will get there if you put the hours in. Cut out anything that gets in your way and put the time in. It all starts with you.

    Best of luck!

The logins are for the employers right now. Once portfolios go live later on, they will tie in directly to the jobs. For now you can simply surf the jobs and apply to any you wish. Employers make a new account to upload their jobs or the like.

This looks amazing. I just graduated a couple weeks ago and have been sending out portfolios but wishing I could find something so well organized like this. 's Job listings worked okay, but this looks even better. Way to go, can't wait to see the rest of the site roll out!

Looks good! Is there anyway of filtering by country, or am I just not seeing how?

Wow, this looks absolutely amazing. One can only hope that word of this site spreads quickly; it'd be shame if this well ran dry.

Wow. Now it's time to get good enough to actually use this beautiful thing you've done, Jason.

Fantastic. Seems like this could become a great resource. Many thanks to everyone involved for creating such useful things!

I stumbled upon a minor annoyance as I was browsing: although you can see the date the job was posted on in the job lists, it isn't displayed once you click on to the actual job description page - which means you have to go back and look if you weren't paying attention (and usually you'll look primarily at the title).

Dang. I posted in the support area before finding this.

Will old job postings be archived? I'm happy to be rid of "email sent" comments, but some old posts included useful advice, information and links.

Brilliant. Such a useful feature, and seeing plenty of good jobs up there already, from big names too; Bungie, Ubisoft, etc. Also love the features, especially the "Back to ConceptArt.org" button. Very well thought out, and designed to perfection.

    Thank you.

That site looks amazing. I listed a link off on Facebook to some friends that have some gaming related careers. Kinda wish I had a degree in programming or something in the field so I could at least try throwing a hat in the ring to some positions.

This is really useful, thank you.

Although I agree that a system for filtering by country would be very helpful.

Working on it. The road never ends. We need to raise some more dough to see all of the things done but will release stuff as quickly as we are able. It is all interconnected.. .4.0.

Glad some of you are finding it useful.

    Best and thanks,

oh man, It's great to know that people can get jobs/ connected through conceptart XD

I just left a sadistically expensive university with game industry connections (WPI-game dev) to a place with no connections (state school-fine art)
Thanks man! This means a lot
