Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
The last month I've worked hard and long, at least 100+ hours a week. Now that I have blisters on my fingers from drawing and after the helpful critiques and advise I got in the CRITIQUE CENTER I thougt I'd render the courage to post some things here. I plan to update daily (I draw/paint etc. for 12 to 19 hours a day) though fear and ill planning might get the better of me.
Short introduction: I'm an student of the Fine Arts and I've got some projects running, mostly in the graphic novel/comics direction. Some of them (actually) have a publisher, others I want to do on my own (won't let them steal my percentages). I was a tutor in Flash and Zbrush, though honestly I'm not that great, and my communication skills are even worse. Sometimes I start animating, though I usually can't find the time and quit.
In my studio I mostly work with pastels which Ill post some works of later, as soon as I figure out if it's not against the law or something (they are quite ehm. pornographic in nature).
To start off:
#character design for story A, which will probably turn out as some kind of comic or novel.
#concept pages for story A
#WIP page from comic B, page 31
#final character design for story A
#A buste, clay. I only have this sad iphone photo which I edited horribly for my avatar.
#Some star wars related doodles for a roleplay group
#Some personal doodles based on a story I wrote when I was twelve
#A painting I made last year in oils (which didn't turn out that great, but it was a great learning experience)
#Portrait in oils
#Old abstract in oils
#Christopher Lee from a photo in acryl
#Inks, about 150x150 cm
#Something I worked on a few months ago but didnt finish (yet)
And the last one: The piece I've received such helpful critiques on, which is currently in a stand still, or waiting for a reboot/restart.

Some slow progress. Drawing is still bit painful but it's getting better.
#A portrait I did in februari for my mom's 50th birthday.
#Todays and yesterdays work: retraced my steps and went back to the drawing board. I figured I somehow had screwed up my initial lighting idea, and the proportions had grown askew. Fixed the lips and light and added some details. Removed the random hairs in front of the face, because they were really distracting me, and when zoomed out, gave some kind of weird distortion.
Somehow the lower lip still doesn't feel like it's part of the flesh, and the chin turned out a bit too dark again (as if the light does not really reach it)
#And added an oldie from last year, probably october. The perspective is right, and the whites on the corners are from the wall, so the piece of paper isn't exactly straightly cut (which was on purpose). I started with oil pastel crayons, oil paints and mineral turpentine, then when it had dried, continued with water based paint. I then carefully started scraping of the last layer (which was easy because the materials don't exactly go along), to create an interesting texture.
a 26 minute speedpaint selfportrait and an update to that bastard piece I was stuck on. I was determined to keep it at 15 but there was just no way I was gonna stop at that point.
Because it keeps saying some security token was missing, I've uploaded yesterdays work elsewhere.
Here's a 3 and a half minute video of a 30 minute speedpaint selfportrait:

Yes. It's a print of a frame containing some macabre situation in which a deteterioration and reassembly of aforementioned takes place. Why do we want to hold on to things, and why do we hate what we have forgotten about lost loved ones?
A work about delusions of transcendental realities, the denial of deterioration and the need to hold to things, photographing moments and putting them in frames on the wall, things that are inherent to change or decay and will not last in any other way. The truths that we have forgotten to be illusions, and the immersion or seduction of believing in the irrational to justify the injustice, the absurdity of it all. If that was all there was to it, we could live with it. But:

Materials used: Clay, pencils, wacom, 3DS Max, anything and everything.
Some snips from two upcoming pieces. The figure in the middle is from another piece, codename 'my three evil exes', and the two figures on the side are from a piece about my family.
I was asked to fill in on a portraiture stand on some event, which I was hesitant to accept and ended up declining to. I didnt feel confident enough I could make the faces 'match' to the extend that people would pay money for it. Especially if I have to keep doing it for hours in a row, so I decided to do some practice work today.
I overdid the saturation just now, but nothing I can't fix. I'm satisfied with the likeness of the right figure, I really nailed it, though I have to fix that glitch (strange almost vertical line on her lips) I merged down my accident . The likeness of the left figure however. Yeah, still some major work to do there: slimmer lower lip, less focus on the secondary (blue) light from the right, longer forehead towards the hair, lighting upper lip and that nose has been a hassle from the beginning. Maybe that's what you get when you don't really have a photo from the angle you're working from for reference. Especially if you mix in a different lightsource and I have to figure out the exact shape of the face by imagination, while still focussing somewhat (heavily) on the likeness.
