How to Make A Clay Animation Character (Frankenstein)

Tutorial, this two part video shows the process we go through to create a character for our claymation cartoons. This Frankenstein will be incorporated into an upcoming cartoon we are currently working on. Hopefully it will help some that are interested in making this type of animation.

You can imbed a youtube video by using [yt] tags around the video's youtube id#.
This would probably be better suited to the 3d/sculpture forum or the motion graphics/animation forum.

Talking Space Rebels Space Adventure (Part 2) My Animation / Cartoon

Space Rebels Space Adventure (Part 2). In this episode a small band of rebels after having barely escaped an imperial battle cruiser using a cloaking device have reached the nearest allied space station. Here they plan their next move. Another of my animations made back in high school, circa 1993 - 1994. More parts to come on this one. I'm in the middle of converting them from a format that almost no prog takes now. Remember this was pre-windows 95 era. Check it out!

Haha, old-school! I remember making little animations in paint back when I got my first PC. Sadly I can't help but lose concentration on something with such old-school graphics and a relatively serious theme. And yet I know I'd have been riveted in its' time.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FN7VolQvak

The misadventures of Charlie Butters is a cartoon series we are currently working on releasing. This is episode one entitled, "Floor Burgers." Charlie is sort of a clumsy fellow always meaning well but due to his clumsiness often gets himself in trouble. This series is one of many we will be working on in 2011.

I admire your creative use of bits of cardboard for a set. The only thing I'd really change is the character. I think he's very rough looking and I noticed a small tear in the clay near his shoulder. Not bad enough that any wires were poking through, but it looked like it might give you some trouble later.

    character

It is pretty flimsy I plan to rebuild this character though all the movement was taking some of his shape out.
