    @sevarenge - Thanks!

    @joe` - Thanks! I'll try to post more often

    @IdaS - Thank you.

    @Alex Eh - Thank you.

    @forestdino - Thanks!

    @Velocity Kendall - Thanks man, I really appreciate it. You've got some killer work in your SB as well.

    @humza - Thanks!

    @sone_one - Thanks! Yes, it is digital 'pencil'. In photoshop I set a small round brush (10px) to multiply mode, spacing to about 31%, set flow to 70% with pen pressure control enabled, opacity to 100%(no pen pressure control), and then I use a paper texture I scanned set to linear burn @ 95% depth.

    @S Ciaffaglione - Thank you.

    @Lightship69 - Thank you for the kind words.

    @williams73 - Thanks!

    @jgwong - Thank you.

    @Mr.Pryminista - Thank you for the compliments. I like to design characters, but it is not my specialty as such. I come from a much more traditional Illustration background.

    @demonaura666 - Thank you, but I am afraid it is more hard work than talent. Practice solid drawing based on the fundamentals and you can use any medium you wish, including Photoshop.

    @witcrack - Thank you. The little girl and jellyfish image was done in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, with custom brushes.

    And now, just some more digital doodles.

    Really love your sketches. Can't believe these are digital. Your lines remind me of the 50s/60s illustrators. Good stuff, hope to see more.

    @Tetrodotoxin - Thanks!
    @George Abraham - Thanks! although I wouldn't go that far.
    @surus - Thanks!
    @bouroune - Thanks! Yeah, the blurriness is something I'm trying to fix in my digital sketches. I may have to work in higher resolution.

    Just some color roughs for my IOW entry that I did not finish on time, and some portrait studies that I have been doing, using a digital Zorn palette. The second portrait was made for this thread in the critique forum.

    I wish I could do portraits just because of all the juicy data is in knowing that stuff. Back to making time for the sketchbook. I think some skeleton and muscle study will help me get it.

    Anyhow, your sci-fi dudes look awesome.

    @jellyswirl - Thanks! I come from a very traditional background, so I use textures to help me wrap my mind around painting with pixels.

    @yogeshj25 - Thanks! I'll try.

    @Velocity Kendall - Thanks man, really appreciate the compliments.

    @Weremole - Thanks!

    Just a couple more portraits. A little more involved, detail-wise.

    Happy new year Buddy!

    Loving the updates my mate, thanks a lot for posting, I just love the way you blast into them with the colours they are all so strong and bold.
    Great stuff I really like it, I'm still at the shy, muted, slightly embarrassed use of colours stages in my art, which is very english after all LOL!

    All the very best for the new year matey.

    Just had to bump. Top notch and very inspiring work! I love the personality and the variety in your characters. And your paintings, especially the portraits here are really great.

    Thanks also for the time to help me out in the crit forums. Your advice is absolutely golden.

    @Lightship69 - A belated Happy New Year to you too! Thanks for the compliments. Actually I am using a palette similar to the one Anders Zorn used, which I think is quite muted.

    @inkjetcanvas - Thanks! Glad I could help.

    Here are some sketchbook pages.

    @nevermindjoker - Thanks! I'll try to post more often.

    @Angel Intheuk - Thanks! I'll probably be doing some more detailed paintings, but these are all digital actually.

    @Steeljren - Thanks! He's a rabbit scribe from Mayan mythology though .

    Some more sketch-bookery, and a sketch for the Kill the Character Above! thread in the lounge.

    Javier,

    I did read it, I swear- but am I to understand that this is digital? You have a really convincing digital canvas texture method if that's so!

    Have you ever considered "screen capping" your artwork? I'd love to see how you go about it a little more in-depth.

    Always love your stuff man. Thanks for all you do.

    @Quigleyer - Thanks for the kind words! That image is 100% digital. I'll see what I can do to explain how it was made with an image, but the process is real simple actually. The base texture is just a scanned image of a section of canvas that was rubbed with a black crayon. Then I made the texture seamless and tile-able. The rest is just basic Photoshop painting with texture turned on in the brush properties.

    @merl1n - Thanks!

    Here are some sketches and a painting inspired by the 'time-travelling assassin' ChoW, a few figure drawings and another kill the character above sketch.
