Back from David Kassan's month long workshop in Belgium - glad to be back in London, it was an eventful trip in some ways, not least when the van that I was in (front passenger seat) was totalled by a falling tree (no-one hurt, amazingly!).

That's young Mr. K-man with the camcorder, pic by courtesy of Christoffer Gertz Bech.

I can reveal the secret of DK's superlative paintings now! (but only to those coming to London meets)

dcorc- whoa, that is a close shave, luckily no-one was injured. Would you be interested in meeting up for the Wyeth exhibition over the week? would be eager to hear of your workshop experience, and what you have learnt/observed seeing DK painting and his approach.

If anyone's interested, there is a small meet of sorts on Friday 12pm onwards at the Dulwich Picture Gallery (in North Dulwich, trains from London Bridge or buses from Brixton) to see the Wyeth Family Exhibition.

How does this Sat sound for the big ol' London sketchmeet? taking into consideration people outside LDN who can only travel easily to/fro on saturdays

7th August 12pm meetup, then probably wander around central London throughout the day
Location: Crypt Gallery Cafe (St. Martins in the Fields Church, the one opposite the National Gallery, nearby station is Charing Cross)

Otherwise the alternative is an afternoon meetup, followed by a Nandos finale

Sounds good to me, for those of us outside of london a daytime meetup is more convenient than an evening one. Look forward to meeting everyone!

This Saturday? OH Great, pick the one weekend that I'm out of town.

Guess I'll have to miss it. Nevermind, next time.

I'd certainly be interested in meeting up, Thursday, to see the Wyeths, and discuss the workshop.

Birmingham would be a good spot...or Derby or inbetween, maybe somewhere in the peaks? I'm definitely up for arranging something between now and December (am hoping to afford the Amsterdam workshop...btw does anyone know how and when to book onto that?)

@Brandon, Dave and anyone else who's interested in going to the Dulwich Gallery on Thursday- Could we possibly change the date of the visit to Friday afternoon instead? That way we can just go straight to HH afterwards and it'll save on travel costs etc. Poor artist here

Hey guys! This might be a bit off topic but I figured this thread would be the best place to ask this.
Does anyone know a good store in London where I might be able to try my hands on some large Wacom tablets?

I'm looking to upgrade from an A5 wide and am deliberating whether to go for the Intuos4 L or the XL. I've read through quite a lot of threads in the Wacom forum but figured the only way to be sure is to try them.

    Hello UK Folk!

Hope your all well and enjoying your holidays or whatever your getting up to.

    Question:
How many of you would be interested in TAD if it were to come to London?
    Location poll thread here

6 of you have voted so far, but I am wondering, are there more of you? Have a look in the thread link above. Or reply here your thoughts...

Would attending TAD be basically the same thing as going back to uni? Or would it offer shorter workshops like an adult education class?
