Hi warhead > Am free sometime later this week. We normally meet on Thursdays (so give me a tell). Congrats on starting a design company.

It all starts from working for yourself as a Ltd company (and your finals design show is a good chance to network, but you should really be networking/working pro bono for some design companies now....to start establishing good cliente

Any particular niche market you're aming for? Retail, interior design, branding, environmental? probably transport I'm guessing seeing as you're constructing a motorcycle *grin*

hey guys I've been searching for somewhere to finally meet some poeple from this site, looks like I found my place . I live in the south east, in the Bromley area so I can get into London easily, can I ask where and when you guys meet up? I'd really like to try and join you for your next meet. I'm just finishing my A2 exams now, last one's on the 26th then I'm free ^_^.

    Welcome, Eltrut!

Fran: 12th would be a Thursday so most of the workin' guys lined up wouldn't be able to make it, thus making the meet pretty pointless....sorry Break a leg at the competition though! (Not literally...)

by the sounds of it a northern meet probably wouldn't be that difficult for me to get to, as I said I'll have left school by the 26th and my work is very flexible when it comes to days off. I'll keep my eys peeled about info .

    Museum visits Monday 25th & Wednesday 27th June 10am

Hey Folks, Welcome all new Folks too!

Im arranging a museum visit this week, and if you would like to join me, your more than welcome.

    Monday 25th June 10am - Science Museum
    &
Wednesday 27th June 10am - Hunterian Museum (Koshime, you should know about this place eh?)

The early start is to get some good sketching time in. The Science museum was recommended by TheBrave awhile back; The Hunterian will inspire your creative minds, theres some weird shit there apparently, great for character creating, I was told about it ages ago, just never got myself out the door to visit.

So, if your free those days, and would like to join me, please PM or text me(07932-907-779)

    ALL WELCOME.

    Mx

    hello,

it looks like Saturday 28th July is shaping up to be the date of the loooong overdue Northern Meet. No firm details yet, no meeting place (I guess we're talking Manchester), but after after a lot of horse trading, I reckon Duddle, Baj, McCoy, Aly and myself can make it that day.

If you can too, say aye!

I booked the weekend off work so hopefully they'll actually arrange it off for me ^_^; They're usually good so I should be free to go. Let us know where it'll all be happening for definite so this poor little (literally...) student can book earlier for cheap tickets, okay??

I got a *distinction* for Diploma Foundation Art & Design!!

Advanced Photoshop is a great little magazine! Like Kian, I was also in Advanced Photoshop, I won the Peer Pressure "Best in show category" in issue 23 and produced a tutorial in issue 24. I interviewed Jonny Duddle and Steph Laberis for the magazine a few issues back too , if you'd like a chance appearing in it, go here

Oh, and mention that I sent you, that never seems to hurt...nudge nudge
(I'm CoolSurface on the AP forums btw)

PS. Just realised I need to email you Molly, I'll get to that later today

every fucking time i turn my back for a fucking minute, i miss an opportunity for a fucking meet!

i just started my A2 art course and the emphasis is on "visit a million museums/galleries in ten minutes" for a wide range of sources etc, etc, etc, so meeting up today would have been brilliant

OH WELL. anyone planning something similar in the course of the next two, three weeks?

I was in IFX a while back... kinda been flying low on the PR radar of late. Workin on my basics. But I got a good gig coming up. Im going to join the production company for the next pratchett miniseries... iv already designed a troll and two dragons. Then design some of the CG environments and do the matte paintings of them n stuff. Its cool though cause im gonna be at pinewood studios for a couple a months on set. Gonna be fun!
