    Fran and I will be in London during the day and evening, since we'll be staying overnight (should be anyway - will be booking the hotel sometime next week). I believe Jon (kian3001) will be there during the daytime too.

    I'll be there during the day i think, anyone got any ideas for what we could do? I'll be coming to nandos too, but dont know how late i'll be able to stay.. depends on the trains.

    + I dont go to london much... so i'll need directions...is the nandos in soho near tottenham court road tube, and if it is, is it a long walk?

    Hey Badger! Hey, Im quite close to Bristol, I could probably make it to a meet, if you don't mind a random stranger turning up.
    Whats this about the 11th? If I go to the Thur 16th meet I wont be there in the evening, (i.e 6pm onwards).
    Is anyone thinking of doing anything in the evening on the 18th, like a few drinks in a pub?

    Badgers don't drink.

    In fact, badgers don't even seem to have a very definite concept of gender.

    Oi!! Less of that! Just cause there are pictures of me in.... rather feminine attire, and i have a lovely side parting fringey thing, there is no need for any of that.
    I can drink, last time i spoke to Jason Manley i was 10pints into my evening, Molly will vouch.
    Oh and Tullie, it's the 1st of feb is the preliminary date, you in Bath?
    Mid - what type of place you wana go too?
    Duddlebug! hope your hand/arm is getting better!!

    Weekdays aren't great for me, especially the 1st, but I'll see what happens. A weekend would be best.

    Are you all badgers? Even if you are, Im sure you could make an exception every now and again.

    A drunk badger could be potentially deadly, especially if one bit you during a drunken rage and gave you TB.

    Hmm - a weekend would be a little easier for me, too (Ben, if he can make it, and I will be arriving by train as well, so a Saturday would be best, given Sunday trains...).

    Badger - any kind of place you think'd be good. As soon as we have a date set (easier said than done right now!), I'll see what time I can get there.

    Koshime - Me and my two amigos would like to come to nando's. Heh, i'd love to see half of nando's booked out by us, sketching the other half.

    Are there any ideas for the thursday daytime?

    Mid Saturday is cool, it's just everywhere is uber busy, so meeting in bristol would be fine, but loads of people would be about. You guys can come round my flat if you like. I dunno who'd be in though. But it's better than nothing. I guess a coffee house is good, there are some nice cafe' s about and i am addicted to coffee. So sat 4th?
    I think Eri is in Scotland till the 6th...
    Tullie He he, so not that near... at all.
    Koshime Guess i'm down for nando's.
    Haribo I was thinking natural history or something, OR if it's actually nice, outside somewhere. Dunno, depends, people might be more up for a coffee house. I'm just throwing some suggestions about here.
    Badger will be truffling about all day.

    Badger - I take your point about the Saturday being busy... I'm hesitant to suggest anything concrete yet, since I haven't heard back from Ben about when he's free. How about we set the 4th as a preliminary date, and see who can make it? Does that work for you, Tullie?

    heyhey, it's taken me ages to get on this thread.. I'll blame it on this crappy computer :/.

    Badger - I believe you are correct. But Bristol aint as far as London *looks on map*, it is true!
    Yes Sat 4th would be fine with me, I have a load of things going on at work at the mo, so taking a weekday off would be tricky, ^^. I only drink coffee during a hangover. But hot chocolate is good, especially with mashmellows on, lol.

    DC, fellow UK'ers

    Sorry I missed you guys lastnight, been away from home with no internet access!!!! In it amazing how much you can miss your CPU...

    Anyhoo, if any of you folks are going to Montreal this year, have a blast! I wont be able to make it(boohoo), due to funds an other commitments...

    DC - where and when do ya wanna meet Saturday? I'd very much like to go to the National Portrait Gallery and see some art there, also the Portrait gallery round the corner or the V&A in South Ken. I'd really like to do 'something' on Saturday instead of pitching up in a pub all day long drinking. We can do that in the evening....ok, 1pm outside the National Portrait Gallery in Trafaglar square?

    Anyone? Anyone? Dust? Anyone? Dust? No? Anyone?.....

    So where and what time will the day people be metting on thursday? I'll be booking the train tickets tomorrow so we should be there around 9-10am.

    Suggested places so far:
    * The Natural History museum
    * A café
    * Outside if it's nice

    So long as the meeting place is kinda specific, since not all of us know our way round London!

    Looking forward to meeting you all! x

    OK, for the confused ppl...
    HALF TERM IS 13th - 17th FEBRUARY

    THURS 16th FEB we shall meet in the morning in London. Location, British Museum, Natural History Museum(stuffed animals,kinda boring), V&A(large sculptures, fashion,design) National Gallery(Rubens,Carravagio,Valezquez,big arse paintings) location depending on everyone here; time 9-10am.

    SAT 18th FEB ANOTHER meet for the folks who couldnt make the THURs one.
    (because you guys wont pull a sickie at work....) usual time, 1pm outside wherever you guys wanna go...

    For anyone not doing anything TODAY, I'm heading down to the Nation Gallery, to check out some paintings. We may head to the Tate Modern, or sit in a cafe and chat. But whatever we do, it will be art related, a maybe a few drinks in the evening - I dunno. We'll let the wind carry us....

    woooooosh.....

    Mx
