Good start. ooohhh I know the ref from the first sketch you got here, i've used it many times myself ;p I'd say keep drawing from life/using reference, until you feel confident enough to wing something without it. you can clearly tell which ones were done with and without it, and honestly the ones you used ref are the better ones. Keep it up.

Remember that your face has anatomy that needs to be constructed as well, just like the body. Take a look at this and good luck

I agree with Sprogis, you should study some faces. Great work on the anatomy studies though, you're off to a great start. At least you're not like the masses of teenagers who just draw bad anime.

Just curious how often you draw from a reference? Mainly asking because if you compare the form class stuff to your other stuff the key difference I bet is (besides time put in) that you were drawing from a reference and just drew what you saw.

Studies are good to do don't get me wrong, (Don't forget to actually 'study' them and not just copy though) but drawing from life or at least a reference also does wonders. Especially if your paying attention when your drawing on how the body or whatever it is your drawing appears as you do it.

Give it a shot, google images is your best friend for this kind of stuff as far as references go. Something like candid walking around or something where people are in a natural pose are some of my favorites to mess around with recently
