Just bought a book to work on my color... I found a really great one actually. Here's some sketches after getting about fifty pages in, I'm ready to finish this book up. *excited*

Always great seeing progress in your work.

    Thumbs up

Went out and picked up some Bristol trading cards. Never worked with the stuff before but I'm glad I decided to.

Ah yes Pebbles that's my beloved "Krista Snake" illustration! Thank you very much for your kind words and I vow I will continue striving for the crisp finish I reached with that image. Patience is paying me hefty recently! x

    Lovely stylised stuff!
the only crit i had was on Meg, the sharp horizon lines and specular highlights mean her hair is a smooth glossy surface, which looks wierd.
    that aside, super nice stuff!

Ahhh yes that's what's making her hair seem like a slab of jello plopped on her skull. Thank you very much, I do tend to over highlight. *o*

It's been awhile since I've posted in this sketch book. I've been reading about colors a lot, and trying to collect observations. Here is my newest design for a Monster High doll repaint I'll be doing. I was very pleased after five color schemes getting it here.

I've been trying to focus on color, reading as much as I can about it.
Lip study done in PS + Bamboo tablet, approximately an hour's work. Got a few other sketches I'll have to upload that are more conceptual!

Since you mentioned it I went ahead and placed my first sketch in my new sketchbook today, here's a face study from a credited stock on another art site I use.

    HB 2B and #2 Pencils. Approximately 1HR.
Unfortunately a cell phone quality photograph.

Focusing on colors more than anything recently. I feel I could have pushed the values with this one, will work on it.

This is an example of where my art started, I want to design items and character images for video games.

    Wink Character concepts.

I thought I'd pop in and post my recent sketch, someone suggested I post more conceptual work. My sketchbook is full of stuff like this so I should scan it in some time.
