    Aftertouch's Sketchbook

    Name: sadffbn.jpg
Views: 14
Size: 304.4 KBIntroduction

Hi, I'm a 20-something year old working in the field of landscape architecture and parks and recreation., and an avid drawer and painter in my spare time. I have heard a lot of good things about this place, and wanted to set up a sketchbook to start logging some of the stuff I do, and see how I progress in my skills.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy the ride!

I love the composition in post 4. The colors really sucked me right in. The construction of the world really intrigues me. I can't wait to see how #6 develops.

Great start! I really love your use of colour and the stylised look of your work.

quick doodle done up in pchat. No clue what sort of universe would exist where magenta and cyan costumes would be considered fashionable.

Digital sketchdump, newer stuff is on bottom. All characters copyright their respective owners. SOME are repeats, my apologies.

Am making it a point to get back to basics, and really start studying fundamentals. This was a first attempt at 30 second and 60 second gesture drawings.
THESE LOOK REALLY BAD TO ME but i thought i'd put them here just to get the ball rolling.

First pic is a bit of an experiment in brushwork as well as concepting out a look for a character of mine. Really enjoy using simple brushes for edgework, turns out!

Second is a landscape I've been working on off and on, concept work for an environment in another IP I've got in the works.

I'm gonna say what everyone else has said: your colours are fantastic, man. As for the gestures, they look just fine - after all, nothing's going to look great in 30 seconds.

Ugh, all those landscapes. So good. They're just so vast.

Wish I could provide useful critique, but you're leagues ahead, so all I have is praise.

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.

I really like your lighting in that latest one, and greatly enjoy your style.

If I had to give any suggestions, it would be to work on details, and getting things to look a bit more realistic.

top notch work though. keep it up!

A bit of a portrait I did for a friend of her character, was a lot of fun to work on! Trying to keep with the details, though I don't have too much time for longterm finished stuff these days.
