Thread: Havok Reed's NEW sketchbook
November 10th, 2013 #91
Here is my first ever sculpt of the character I drew. Some minor changes to the outfit but for the better. took about 60 hours because of redoing things over and over again. Long process but I had fun doing it

A snippet of something I started to keep my mind intact. So much homework, so little time! This is how I relax. Doing things that I want to do.

Final piece for 2013! And just a side note here, there is NO black in this. Jpeg sucks for compression and it makes all my dark blues look black. If you want to see a higher res version you can check it out here.

Yes! The last piece looks amazing. What a good way to kiss the year goodbye!

Thank you so much! I wish I had more to post but I have been spending a lot of time relaxing so far. I think I will begin doing weekly, if not daily posts, starting in the next couple days.

Woot! They fixed the thumbnails issue! Anywho. Decided I needed to do some studies on skulls because I noticed my characters being flawed in the face...the face... your mom's face! JK
So skulls.... and then a quick portrait to apply what I learned.

Hey, that still life looks great ! And that sculpture turned out real nice! Is that clay? I've never sculpted before hehe, did you use a knife or something to sculp it? It looks like a ton of fun, something I might want to try out too.

Thank you. The sculpture is made of Super Sculpey. I have sculpting tools I used to make it. I also found that a manicure set works pretty nice too.

nice greyscale rendering and breakdowns of gestures. If may I would advice you to draw anatomy over bodybuilders.

My D3 Contest entry
I didnt like how the BG turned out, but the character is okay I think. So I removed the BG.

For my final project I get to make a character from concept to 3D, in game ready. So here are my initial concepts.
Im aiming for League of Legends style. hence why the proportions are exaggerated. I looked up Paul Kwon and his work for reference to this.
