Almost 4 mounth past since my last visit here, so, again, shame on me. I started courses of academic drawing (or how I can call it), and I hope that they will help me to improve my skills. And here some doodles^^

First of all, there is my very first picture (with the background and some plot))) So, I'm just happy that I've managed to finish it.

And my first works from the courses

Hey Kat, good to see you back.

You've been working hard and it shows. Lovely bird studies and I like those pieces you did for your course. It's great to see some variety and colour appearing.

Great stuff, keep going and good luck!

So, I keep drawing, but still don't see any improvments. Though I can't deny, that I havn't done any progress during the last year. The main proplem is that I want to everything immediately, but it's impossible. I just have to be patient!

    Hey there!
Went on to see some sketchbok and fell on yours !
I got to say I really like your anatomy studies, and when I say studies, I mean that I really feel like you've tried to understand how that shape works instead of just copying them! Really nice! that's how you make great progress and that's what i'm seeing here! Also really loving your still lifes and color studies where you pretty much get the right temperature and color balance, puting your reference aside can really help us to see how you went trought it!
One thing I've noticed is that you might like to be carefull on edge control in photoshop, in your life drawing drawing and still life study, I feel a great control of the line! You might wanna consider layer clipping mask or so on, Shaddy safady (an art director) made a couple of tuts on youtube about managing layers in environment! you might wanna check it out!
Keep on going, it's goin really well!
    Cheers!

Wavenwater thank for your comment, and I have to apologise that didn't answer fo so long! Shaddy's videos are really great and helped me to understand important things about drawing in photoshop. so thank you again for this great recommendation!

So, I didn't do too much for previous mounth and this is really bad. I tried to learn how to draw landscapes, and have to continue to do this. Also I realise that I completely forget how to draw human body and have to begin to study it. Also, I start to think how can I develope my imagination but I have to think about this question more :/

Wow great work, you're definitely improving. Maybe try uploading your work as you do it ever day or whenever youve made something to get a habit and motivation to keep working.

JordanD thank you! I'll try to post often, maybe it will help to drow more.

So, here some recent studies... And I wonder, how to use photos for study now, when I feel difference between them and real objects? I have to figure out how to use photos... maybe exaggerate colours, or greate new ones due to environment and light? Don't know =(

Master study (Adolphe Williams Bouguereau - After the Bath. 1894)
    3 hours or so.

Poses from life (finally I'm starting figure out how to draw them!)

In your recent post #52, the figure drawings and painted portrait study look like a great step forward, in my opinion. The way you've blocked in the colours on the painted study is both thoughtful and strong, and I like that.

The gun is beautifully rendered, and the glimmering of light is nice and subtle.

Keep on with the force, don't stop.

Great, great pencil work. But most of the times the color rendering turns out muddy, I don't know why. I understand that what is shown on many of them is just the really early stages, but I think it'd help you a lot to work with transparent/multiply color layers (just a thought, of course; it's your stuff). The synthetic landscape thumbs are much better in this sense.
