    Nice to meet you Sinix.

Helium Macaroni - Well, it's certainly 50/50 up here. Friday's is simply fascinating. Some nights you meet celebrities, some you meet broken down people.
You don't mean the Canoga Lakes do you?

LiL QoH - Remember when you were on the tour and passed Scan/Record and they were talking about a film scanner and a laser recorder and looked through a little window on a big blue door? My office is directly left of that behind the next blue door.

Hello, I am Eric and I live in North Hollywood. Most of major film studios are a short distance from me. Also close to me are "Travel Town" and the Gene Autry Museum. Plus I am a short drive from the porn capital of the u.s., Van Nuys!

    Hey All,

Anyone here going to Austin? If anyone is, do you know any deals as far as plane fare? Trying to find out if I can afford to go. I guess I can look myself online anyway

    Thanks guys!

Phil - That's a pretty good deal! Hopefully I can find a similar priced one. If they are all ranged like that then I'm there. Woo hoo!

I got Southwest for $232 roundtrip from Orange County (John Wayne) into San Antonio (I have friends there I'm staying with.) I'm sure you can find some similar deals from elsewhere in SoCal, Groover.

Hey dns2k...what classes are you taking at Watts? What's the teaching style there? I'm trying to figure out where to go after the summer and I'm thinking about taking some classes at Watts. I'll probably try to talk to Ron at either the workshop or the Comicon first, but I'm just curious what your experiences there have been like.

Nice to see a few more SoCalers chiming in.

hey oskar, my site is eternally in the works because essentially everything i have been doing is work that doesnt belong to me or stuff that is going to be published. so no new site. ive been up to my neck in sequence design for work and freelance that ive been taking so essentially i had more of a life when i was in school, but thank god, my loans might be paid off somewhat soon. this is how pathetic i am, i havent seen an actual movie in a movie theater since last year. so yea, my thunderdome stuff is incomplete. maybe one day i will post it. and i dont think you were ever banned at s222. the ban list is empty.

If only I was batman, maybe then I could get laid..

Aside from that, It's Mike Oskar, Maurino.. the one with glasses.. not Mike D.. I'm the one that acts much gayer.. I mean, I'm the cool one!

Marshall Vandruffs Human Anatomy for Artists

    http://www.marshallart.com/anatomy.html

Hey folks. I was trying to figure out what to do with my summer and had finally settled on taking a 2d design course (to learn a bit about color and composition) when I saw flyers for this workshop in my life drawing class. Justin Sweet was a student of Marshall and I believe Vance Kovacs was also. So how could I pass this up!

So, if any of you are looking for something interesting to take over the summer, check it out. I'm going to have to miss the session on legs/feet because of the Austin workshop, but oh well.

Awww.. why thanks Forest.. now where's my %$&@ing present?!

Yeah Oskar, it’s me. I've been here for a couple of months just slothing around. Haven't posted anything yet cause I'm too lazy to upload stuff, and I'd like to have a web site up first... but I'll probably put some stuff into photobucket to start off yet. When I do some of my own stuff that I'd like to get critiqued, then I'll put some crap up. Yeah my avatar is the head of a sculpture I made. It's a dude in power armor that I did last summer. hmm.. maybe I'll post that first.

Anyway! Hope your classes go well, I'll see you in a couple of days back at the factory

So...like....who wants to get together for coffee and sketch? I'm thinking it's probably not going to happen with SD/OC/LA...mainly because SD is too far from LA and vice versa...but I'm thinking an SD/OC or OC/LA thing could happen...Just look at all the fun the British are having!

C'mon, ya know you want to...

    Hey mate,
I'm severly booked until after the Austin workshop. We'll get together and do some sort of LA meet for sure though.

Hehe, no sweat. I know the feeling. I'm probably pretty busy til after then too. But my class just ended and I felt good afterwords and am psyched to just keep drawing and seeing some of y'all draw too. Guess I'll just have to wait til Austin.
