    Exclamation

    Question:

If I'm going to provide delicious seered flesh for this particular event.. would everyone be willing to kick in a couple of bucks to cover expenses? I have quite a few burgers and whatnot in my freezer that I haven't used up, but I think that I'll need to buy some more, as well as buns and condiments. I also need to get more charcoal!

Oh.. and If anyone needs a ride and is from the Pasadena/Eagle Rock/Glendale area, I may be able to accomidate you! I don't have too much room cause of all the grilling stuff.. but I may be able to squeeze another person in.

I'll pitch up some cash HeliuMike.

Do they actually allow cooking in a bbq on the beach? I know they have fire pits, so it's not like they're afraid of fire or anything, but I never knew you could just drag your BBQ on to the beach and light 'er up.

Oh yeah...anyone from OC wanna carpool to this and save some parking cash?

Forest, Jesse: thanks sirs, I bought quite a decent amount of food, and I should be able to accomidate everyone with both hot dogs and hamburgers.. God bless Costco.

Well, I found this statement on the Huntington Beach website..

"Finally, a wonderful way to end the day is a cookout at one of the three hundred fire rings and a replay of the highlights of the day. Make certain to claim your fire ring early because in the summer they go fast."

So I guess that answers the question.. and I suppose that since some people will be there at 12pm, we should be able to score a ring.

    Thumbs up

I had a blast. I'm glad I was able to get my work stuff sorted out in time to make it down there. Bummer it was after character already left.

Definately looking forward to more of these. Next time we'll have to have it in a place where we can all hang out and sketch. I miss getting my draw on like in Austin.

But it was still great to see everyone, especially some of y'all I hadn't seen since Austin or Comic-Con. And thanks to HeliuMike for doing the cookin'.

i might be able to work something out with my parents to let you guys come over to my place. theres not a whole lot of room but if its the same amount as the beach meet then i'd be fine. im only like 20 mins (45 with traffic) form the bech so its not too much farther.

I had tons of fun. And a big thanks goes to DNS2k for hooking me up with some new pens to play with.

Some of you expressed interest in seeing some of the pics I shot. Specifically the clouds.

I have to agree with Phil, it was a good time, and great to meet everyone. Next time we'll have to meet where we can chill and draw in eachother's sketchbooks and shoot the shit. But this was a great first date ;p

Phil: Those are some killer beautiful photos man. Amazing atmosphere! Props man!

Well.. people are posting, so that means no one got dysentery from my cooking. We must indeed do it again.. where we can actually draw!

The best part is that now we all know the secret of Forest's screename!

phil- oh my god... is that like a website i just saw... i must be dreaming... it even had new pics... NO WAY!... lol enjoy the HiTec C's before some lil asian kid who has a fetish for stationary supplies snags them away from you. i still cant believe that he bought out the .3 & .5 in the span of a phone call.

i had a lot of fun yesterday chatting with all of you guys and checking on matt's progress. lets do it again!

Yeah. We should do this again in a place where we can draw and roll around on the floor. I mean I tried and all, but that damn sand......

DNS - If I was there I would have kicked that kids ass. You had to have a couple feet on him.

And no, Helium Macaroni, the best part was eating your "special" meat.

    Ick.
