    Demon themed album cover

    Greetings all!

Made this album cover design just for fun, using one of my old photomanipulations. The same picture is mostly recycled trough the whole thing, but this was a fast fun project that i made just because it's fun :p

I guess i've could of done a lot more with the typography though :/

    Tools used: PS CS5
Model on the manipulation i used: Lockstock from deviant
Textures are mostly from CGtexture and sxc

Oh thats very nice. I know it isn't the point of the exercise but I think if you had the time designing a mock-up band logo to replace the 'Band Name' could go a long way. At the moment the 'band name' just looks tucked away on the cover for the sake of it. Those metal bands often have some nice logos that can be played with to be more of a feature. Annnnd I don't really like the 'Dolor Sit Amet' headers on the lyric pages. They look really formal when I want to see some anarchy and chaos.

Very nice & pro I think. I can see this being used by a metal band, for sure. It fits the genre well and is commercially sell-able. Working more on logo work will benefit your design and make for a stronger portfolio piece.

Did you get permission to use that photo? I only ask because this definitely seems like some portfolio quality work to me as soon as you replace the band/album name with something more believable and replace the lorem ipsum with something less recognizable... Maybe some old poems. There have got to be some ancient, public domain poems out there that sound like they were written by a heavy metal band.
Again, really, really nice work, man.
