Hey there! Thanks for visiting my sketchbook. I really appreciate your advice and kind words. I see you've been quite busy and producing wonderfull works.
I've been lacking motivation lately and was wondering if you ever have this problem. If so, how do you deal with it?

Keep up the good work! I still love your black&white sketches!

    Monsieur-Beefy: Thanks alot!

Mila: Hey man, thanks for dropping by! I'm constantly having motivation problems, I think thats something that most artist go through on a regular basis. In my case it's usually that I feel like i'm not progressing fast enough, not good enoguh, or just generally feel like I'm not happy with the quality of work I'm producing. I guess everyone deals with this in different ways but I usually just try to power through, maybe do less of the kind of studies that feel more like chores and concentrate on doing paintings that I really love doing like still-lifes. It's hard sometimes though. It comes down to the fact that I really want to get better, and if I stop practicing I feel like I'm setting limits on the skills I can achieve.

I don't have any specific things I do to deal with motivation problems but I hope this helps even a little bit.

Wippy. Went crazy with colours, the edge control is pretty bad and the values are off but it's alot of fun.

Updateish, not really done but I don't think I'm gonna work on it anymore.

    Also a quick unfinished study.

    Mila: cheers!

Nothing fancy for today. The nibs in my wacom pen are really loose and make drawing a bit difficult as everytime I raise the pen from the surface the nib will fall down about 2mm and thus drawing longer than I had inteded / wrong direction.

    Somelar: thanks a bunch!

GEB: Thanks man! Not as good as yours though

    -------------

Some more, the rest was crap, mainly a SP haha. I really should stop doing these and do something useful, maybe I'll try to finish this one. Still has some issues with the composition.

As always, any crits are welcome.

great environments dude. The Last piece is looking promising, i think you can improving by adding some more colorvariation to it and just render the form of the rocks a bit out more. I made alittle overpaint for you, hope you dont mind. Not sure if it helps you though or even if its better.

Fetsch: I don't mind at all, the complete opposite! Thanks alot for the overpaint, really helps. I can't seem to open up my mind to all the colours I could be using, that seems to be especially the case when I work from bw-sketch to straight into colour. I try to avoid this or atleast do it in really early stages but I still can't get the colours work out very well..

I added in some colours but it still doesn't look very good, although it did get better. Yours is alot more vibrant. I am kinda hesitant to go further from the blue colours, as my main idea was to make the picture very blue in the first place, I just don't know how to go about it.

Also a quickie, just felt like doing a simple landscape.

I feel like I don't remember to keep in mind all the things I've supposedly picked up from studies, like edges and brush economy. I should try to take more mental notes, or just write myself some general bits to keep in mind while drawing.
