Does anyone notice this about Painter?

So, let's say you have a really good textured brush and lay it down. It gives a really good rough look to a surface. You bring the same file into photoshop and it smooths everything out and the texture is virtually gone. Is there a way to preserve this or are we better off making those marks in Photoshop to give the cool rough painterly look?

That's because Painter doesn't anti-aliase the image view like every other program out there, it has "Draw zoomed out... using area-averaging" You can check it on the Preferences, it's not very good but try it.
