    Drawings

Just want some real hard critiques. These drawings are pretty old now, but I'm working on some new stuff. Want to take it up a bunch of notches. Thanks

They look pretty solid to me man. Are you going to school for art? I like the facial expressions. I'm gonna guess that's graphite?

I just joined so I hope you don't mind me posting in your thread.

Just wanted to second the above post. I'm no expert but these look pretty good to me. Not sure how you could make them better...

Thanks guys! I appreciate the compliments. I'm just always looking for ways to improve. Hopefully this will be the inspiration I need to get working on the regular again. No I'm not a student. I'm a 36 year old graphic designer. But I want to make a living as an artist.Yes this is graphite.

I don't think you still need a hard critique in these. Both of them are pretty solid and I can't think of improvements that you need to apply. I suggest you just post your sketchbook so that the rest of the community can see it. Keep up the good work!

have you tried to blend the graphite? if not, try to do it in some drawings... it can give to your work some nice effects and textures...

good works you posted here... I enjoyed a lot

    Thanks Pauloricardo,
Yes I like to use a blending stump alot. For the Peyton Manning drawing I was feeling a little different. I tried not to use the blending stump at all. It was a change for me.

Pretty solid works for what they are. Not bad at all! I'm presuming they're drawn from photos? I don't really have any critique other than saying 'what else can you do?' Hopefully you can do this quality of work when drawing from life and imagination.
    My Sketchbook

And then God said, "Let us make man in our likeness and our image. Let us make him ridiculously hard to draw so that poor artists everywhere will have to spend 10,000+ hours failing repeatedly before they can begin to capture the form and likeness onto a two-dimensional surface." And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.
