    The journey of art. Beginning.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, or if it's been done. I'm inspired by Lung Bugs few pictures in his DS that showed where he was 2 years ago, and 7 years ago, art wise. Also, MindCandyMan has a great DS showing his progression, which started 6 months after I did. I'm also curious how alot of amazing artists on here started out. So, I'll start by posting where I was 2 years ago this month (note the dates), and one page scanned out of my current sketchbook, and a quick 5 minute doodle page while I was scanning (also, you can check my website if you haven't, but I haven't updated since Dec). But I'd rather see where other people began on thier artistic journey.

I hope some of you other artists will do the same. To be honest, there are horrible drawing days where I think to myself "Dan Milligan drew like crap once"...but now I wanna see the proof!

My very first attempt at duplicating reality. All but the face was a genuine attempt.

The next day I went to the metro tunnel where people wait for the bus. I sat across the tunnel and tried to draw them. I still do it, its a great exercise I think.

Here is a recent page from the metro tunnel last week.

And some quick sketches while waiting for the scanning...

OHO! Just you wait till I show you the fun stuff from 4th grade! And I only wish I had this 1st grade drawing here. Its absolutely hilarious, but unfortunately me and the drawing happen to be separated by an ocean and a continent at this point.
