Our forum gets hit with spam. Luckily, most of it is never seen by the users because our spam controls automatically send into moderation certain threads/posts created by users with low post counts.
Things that can cause your threads/posts to be sent to moderation:
Being a new user with a low post count.
Creating a new thread in certain well-trafficked sections (like Finally Finished or Sketchbooks).
Lots of attachments or images.
Anything that looks spammy.
Once you have accumulated enough posts (a small number, approx. 15-20), all your previous threads/posts will automatically be released from moderation.
We get A LOT of requests from people asking that their posts be released from moderation. It is just too much for us to do individually and keep on top of. If you have 20+ posts and your threads/posts still aren't showing up, leave a request in this thread and we'll try to see what the problem is.
Thanks so much for your understanding.

Sorry for posting this in public, but I cant write you an PM since I dont have 10 Postings (haha)..
Can you manually approve my job offering in the freelance jobs below 500$ section?
This helps a lot, thanks
Hi Emily! We're in the same position as Skeleton. We submitted a "freelance job over $500" thread last week and paid for it (through PayPal) right after. There were three new freelance job postings today but ours was not one of the three. Can you please approve ours? Thanks so much!
Thanks Emily. There are a lot of very talented artists here so we're excited to get our listing posted. Have a good night!
Hi again, Emily. I tried to send you a private message but since we don't yet have 10 posts, it wouldn't go through. Can you please direct us to the person who approves the paid Freelance job threads? We made our payment more than a week ago but the thread still isn't up. I'm wondering if the problem is coming from the email address on our PayPal account not matching the email address on our profile here. I had emailed Jason Manley and davi (through the Contact Us links) earlier in the week with all our payment details, but we haven't heard back yet.
Sorry to bother you but we'd really appreciate your help!
I am having a problem with my last post. It's under moderation while the previous ones were fine... I have ~6 posts now.
PS: I have been trouble contacting people about it also.
Thanks for the help,
I was wondering why my posts weren't showing up. I was about to totally give up on this message board and look elsewhere for advice because I really need to buy a new graphics tablet soon. I'm anxious to try my hand at digital painting with GIMP. I also thought that maybe the moderator didn't like my suggestions or misc. tips about drawing. This will be my fourth post so if I post one more time all my posts will suddenly appear on this message board? Is that how it works? I have to admit it's very strange to have this kind of security for a comment board when email registration is required--that alone should prevent any bots from spamming here.
I can post a comment in this thread without approval, but when I try to start a thread in the "Other Software and Hardware" section it doesn't get approved. This is post 6 or 7, I think. Only 2 of my posts have gone thru so far.
I have 10 posts but still my thread doesn't show up. I'm trying to open a Sketchbook, I've tried almost 5 times since I didn't know what to do. Can you please approve my thread? I'm really excited about starting this and this denial is really upsetting me...
Oh! Sorry XD What's the limit, just for me to know?
I am not sure what the threshold is either, but try attaching 3-4 images per post. It's also better that way so people can address critiques or comments on certain images better. I dunno, but it's hard to go "Well image 20 down" on a page of scroll makes it a bit difficult. So break your post and attachments down to smaller ratios.
I already posted 5 times, but my sketchbook still won't show up. Though I think it's probably because I attached too many images. But if so, do I just make a new sketchbook thread?
