Im liking the studies bro! Theresa few odd anatomy but thats why you gotta keep doing them! The ball is looking better. Though I think towards the end you should vary the timing more. The first two bounces is timed well but then the last ones feels like they should have less frames in there. Think of the ball containing 'X' amount of energy and each time it bounces it looses more energy and so cant move as much and overcome gravity. So towards the ball should bounce quicker exponentially until it stops.
And if you want it to feel really bouncy, try squashing the ball more and stretching it when it just makes contact with the floor and when it leaves the floor. What I meant before about keeping the shape regular applies for when its in mid-air and not having a physical object affecting its shape.

Alextooth: Thanks, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Bendragon: Thanks for pointing that out I did not see it. Thought I would try drawing a non rubbery ball this time just something moderatly hard.

Hooray we are now off that horrible page that is page 8 to much stuff on there to load. Here is a life drawing I worked on this weekend. I'm quite happy with it.

Awesome studies bro! Keep that up! With the last ball bounce, I think it spends too much time in contact with the floor. You could take a few frames out of that. Maybe put some of those on one frames.

Bendragon: Ya I actually didnt think of shooting it on ones actually. Ill keep that in mind next time.

A small update but I haven't been lazy which is good! Just havnt documented anything really, been oil painting again woo ill get onto photographing that... Been pushing my self alot harder now. I'm not on alot of sleep.

A girl I'm designing for a very short cut out animation. And a painting I did of the girl before I came to this. I thought she was to young in the painting.

And another ball animation. Did this in photoshop. Gota do it again it looks weird how fast its falling after the first contact. As well I have no idea where that dot came from couldn't find it in my layers.

Nice! The animation is looking better! Im noticing your characters are looking a bit the same. Not sure if you are drawing the same person but their faces look quite similar. Maybe try some studies of faces to break out of the stylization.

    matty_mcmullen: Thanks for stoping by!

Raffix: Your welcome, keep up with the animateing its fun woo!

Lol spent my day animateing today.Didnt do any studies. But I guess this is a study in its self. Didnt do any inbetweens. Just 3 keyframes, and a bunch of contacts/extremes and breakdowns.

Had alot of problems with this, and I can't seem to render it in high quality with photoshop so just gona traditionally make it at school tommrow.
Can't wait to figure this out more and try animateing her 2D!!!

Here is a the narrative that I want to get across the timeing is terrible.

A girl walks into the scene and notices a stuffed dog on the ground. Curiously she goes to pick it up when mysteriously the bear floats up and away from her by a few feet before droping to the ground. The girl is unsure about the dog now and walks off feeling disturbed.

Great to see you pushing yourself, I think it might be a good idea to refine your studies a bit more, even if its just cleaning up edges. Should help make the shapes and forms stick in your mind a bit better.
I also really like the variety in your stuff, got pencil, digital and traditional painting as well as animation.
I think you'd benefit from doing some quick life sketches of people in the street or a cafe or something, my animation teacher suggested it to me and it's been helpful in all areas.
    Keep it up dude
    Peace
    Dan

Thanks guys ill reply individually and update when I get the time been very busy this weekend. Lots of art too

I had to do some writing for my creative writing class. I thought what the heck ill share it.

I choose to do a small dialogue between to characters where something called a "Turn the Worm" happens. Basically, a smaller character a weaker character turns around to fight the opposing character. Teacher gave us some other requirements as well.

Writing is fun, man lately I've become so sure that I want to be a film director. Make some awesome well made animated movies for everyone whooo Seems like an almost endless amount of things I need to understand very clearly to be a good director though. All it takes is study though!

Sarah: Hey Michael, I'm glad I caught you here today.

Michael: Hey Sarah, it's nice to see you.

Sarah: Yeah, man the weather sure is nice today, eh Michael?

    Michael: It's cloudy Sarah.

Pause to show both the characters thinking Sarah looks anxious.

Sarah: Look, about the other day, you were not supposed to see that, no one was.

Michael: Yeah, these things happen .

Sarah: Look, I know I know... I'm just worried, the student election is comeing up very soon. If word got out about this-

Michael: *shakes his head and smiles*

    Sarah: I'm serious Michael!

Michael: I can see that your “serious” Sarah.

Sarah: No one can know Michael, please.

Michael: Why did you do it then Sarah? Huh?!

    Sarah: Michael?

Michael: I mean crist, I litterally couldnt belive my eyes when I saw what you and Mr. Ichikawa were doing yeserday.

    Sarah: ...

Michael: Do you even understand how much it hurt me?! How angry I am?!

Satah: W-what? No I don't. I-I. * pants* I mean I'm the one who should be worried here, right? My whole reputation is at stack.

Michael: Look Sarah I guess you never got the hint but I've always liked you.

Sarah: * She's speachless her mouth is hanging open her eyes are wide. Basically shes about to fall over the edge with anxiety.

Michael: I ran in the student election hopeing to get the chance to know you better Sarah. But now, now that I know just what type of person you are. I can't wait to see you fall!. What I saw yesterday was completely immoral and your a pig!, I hate you.

    * The bus turns the corner and Michael gets on with out giveing Sarah another look.
    look.

Paranoia Agent, eh? Do you recommend?

Should I download and begin watching these?

Or is that the anime where the kid with the golden hockey stick goes around whacking people? (think I've seen that one)

Hey what's up dy.laneA? your doin some good studies here, keep it up!! uhm.. I think for life drawings, you should add more structure in them, like studying box forms or using geometric shapes to show volume in the figures. (I actually spent a whole summer studying box forms lol). anyway, good stuff peace!!

Your stuff is coming along. Make a concious effort to work toward a more decisive line. Something that helps that is to measure the "notional space" (the widest width and tallest height) as a rectangle; see how many widths go into the height. (or if the subject is longer than wide, do it the other way round). Use that as a rough guide.

Then start to find lines in the figure that coincide. The line of the leg might line up perfectly with the back of the head. Try to find those. Use measurements horizontally and vertically, and line up things using the diagonal lines you find. Really try to see the inner shapes (blocks/hemispheres/etc) and then lay those on the paper.

It's taking a while, but this is starting to pay off in my efforts. Hopefully it will for you too.

Work some more with Bridgman heads (the blocky ones) so you can start to see planes; that way the values will look right when you do stuff from imagination. The forms will also look more volumetric.
