    Ven Gee: Thanks love!!!!

I wont be able to stream for the next 2 weeks. I decided I need to get back on the train of just shutting off the internet and the world till 9PM everynight.

When you do that your magically more productive it's weird.

Realized a few wierd things were going on in this image. Like I don't think her desk or her chair are resting on the floor correctly. It's the kind of thing that ill need to design the image from the beginning again.

Kinda glad because I hate this image and ill get to try and make a better new one.

I think you should play around with lettint your linework show in some of the foreground space. Its a technique used in anime alot to help the viewer distinguish important details from non important ones.

    Aryeh: Thanks dude.

Gona cool it with the photo studies and focus more on life painting. I'm starting to understand why it's so important. It's actually a lot of fun! Really hard though.

Also starting to understand why some of these artists that people call the old masters are so good. I've been drawing for 3 years and somehow I never really understood why they were so good.

I don't want to call them masters... but I was looking at some of Jamie Jone's and Craig Mullin's paintings tonight and it just sorta just clicked with me all of a sudden why they are considered good.

I realized just how accurate they are with there shapes(from the BIGGEST shapes to the smallest textures), and there colors (hue, value, saturation). Edges are important too, but I think that ties in with shapes.

I realized that when it boils down to it, good images are just good shapes and good colors. Shapes and colors that speak to you and others.

try doing some color studies where you use the eye dropper as well. i think you will fine that there are hue shifts towards the compliments in illumination when the light sources is white light.

In the master study, see how the lady's upper thigh fabric is leaning towards the cool due to to the (presumably) white light from the window. Its a lot cooler than the shadowed area of the bottom of the skirt. It's because the shadowed area is reflecting the floor's temperature.

Maybe my eyes are overly sensitive, but i see gentle/warm greens scattered on the floor, and i see sultry red-browns as the blue scarf on her waist recedes into the shadow. The pillar in the back has the lovely purple-alizarin hues as it fades at the terminal. See the lovely brown shift in the wallpaper behind the gentleman?

You can tell its a white source because the speculars on the vase are white, eventhough the lightsource isnt very strong. In natural lighting the highlights are usually leaning towards cool because they are reflecting the blue of the sky. A good way to show subtle shifts in temperature is through masking textures in with a brush. That way you convey light as it reflects off of the irregularities of textured surfaces. Its a technique that Linran, Algen, and Jana use.

great commitment no doubt, i enjoy watching your streams, id like to see you really push one of these studies as far as you can though and really bring it up to a high standard. Its good to see how far you can go everyone once and a while from just bashing it out i find.

To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.

Promising stuff in here. Really rough though. Try detailing a little part to get a focus, maybe ?
