    127. I. This is for my homework, where I need to design a logo for an existing company. The paper is too big, so the right is cut off. This is supposed to be "graphic design", which the teacher implies to mean the use of heavy black and white, instead of many values. My teacher doesn't like seeing students doing illustration for their graphic design homework. This college is really crummy and disorganized. My high school work was more intense. 9/27/2011

I am changing majors and hopefully able to transfer to Hunter College for physics major. The only reason I am in my current college is for their bachelor's illustration course, which I cannot take until I go through all these anti-illustration courses, and that makes absolutely no sense.

    128. I. Reunited Inspired by music "Fire Nation" by Two Steps From Hell, then consequently my novel in progress. 9/28/2011

I will be painting this in oil some time after I get more proficient at it. I will make it a landscape rather than a portrait, so I can add a several more knights in the back ground.

    129. I. The Dark Descender Pre-oil painting composition. 9/29/2011
    130. I. Reunited. I took some time to edit parts this drawing and re-uploaded it. This was previously 128. This is also a pre-painting composition. 9/29/2011

I have a dentist appointment today, yay.

I have noticed that I am usually inspired to draw knights and fantasy stuff when listening to trailer music, on the other hand when I listen to techno music, I tend to be inspired to draw sci-fi stuff. However, what inspired me to draw The Dark Descender was a flash of its image across my mind one day. The image of a knight trembling onto soldiers below just popped up in my head.

Your perspective drawings are really good and you can draw a really straight line without the use of a ruler which is very impressive. Anatomy still needs some work. The bust of the girl in the latest image is off, it's tending towards the right when it should be balanced and probably slightly lower on the torso. The folds looks pretty good. The back legs of the horse in that illustration are looking a bit wonky, but the image composition is solid.

I feel your pain about anti-illustration classes. My school is all about abstraction and theory, and not about actually learning to draw or convey ideas through pictures.

Both of my grandpas died this year. One of my grandpa, my father's father, died recently just 3 days ago on October 6, 2011 at the age of 88. Now, I have no more grandpas, and only one grandma left.

I dedicate this post to my dead grandparents. May Oferion, the guardian of dreams, ferry them to a better place.

    133. I. Oferion. 10/9/2011

P.S. I didn't use any rulers. I am surprised at how I drew that sword so straight, I guess that's what they call practice makes "perfect".

It was just a rough sketch, since I was bored.

Hi, I don't know how to read Chinese (I can only speak Chinese), but thank you for replying. The google translation gave me the gist of what you are trying to say.

    137. O. This is the life sized oil painting I did in Marvin Mattelson's continuing education class. I finished it last week, but I had to wait until it was dried until I can bring it home. I'm currently working on a new model. 10/29/2011

@gvuyfgi987qeq: Yes, I love the look of hatching. I prefer a more impressionistic feel to a drawing.

not related to the wings (don't know how to crit those) but at first glance I didn't get the sword-swinging of the angel, and thought the wing armor was some kind of outstretched arm position.

@krysjez: Yes I have fixed some stuff after that upload. I didn't find the time to upload it yet.

@aragah: To this day I am still going against my parent's wishes, and my sister supports them. So I use my financial aid money to sign up for classes at various schools. So far I have attended continuing education classes at SVA, and I am currently attending night class at the Grand Central Academy for figure drawing. I will post my figure drawing on Friday. Next month I will be cast drawing. I also plan to take a figure drawing class at Art Student's League for short pose gesture drawings, this is because the Grand Central Academy's focus is on a light and form, and so they have a nude model do a single pose for an entire month(almost no variety of gestures, but this ultimately depends on the teacher).

@iven: Yes, I have been gone because of college, especially the academic works, so I don't draw all the time. This semester I will only have one academic course since I am a transfer student and a lot of classes have no seats left.

I don't upload everything I draw, because I have to scan or photograph them. I also cook at home to save money, so even less time goes to drawing(my family is poor).

    149. I. Anyway, here is a piece I painted with oil today. I am still working on it. Not much color is needed here, just some bluish hues are enough. It is on a 9x12 rough cotton canvas.
