    the wolf

    Here's what I got on the wolf so far. I like elements of them all so I'll combine some of those for the final.

    thanks for the comments and thanks folks.

    Red Sisterhood Silhouettes FINAL

    no_name_brand - Woah amazing reinterpretation of the wolf! The gas mask is an excellent choice with the long snout-like fashion of it. The fake leg also looks a bit like a wolf's digitigrade leg. Very clever detail! I think that peg-legged Wolf is my favorite (and love that fur collar detail too)

    PxelSlayer - Love your smooth style and bold coloration!

    Attaching my sheet of silhouettes for Red from this weekend! Seems like I'll have plenty of fodder for a sisterhood of werewolf-fighting Reds. Now, on to high master "Grandmother"!

    No Name Brand I think the most right mask looks the most wolf-ish!
    They are all very nice!

    Do you have some progresspics that you could post? So a mere beginner like me could learn some stuff?

    @No Name Brand

    Really like the post apocaliptic feel of the guy, but aside from that the snout of the gas mask is a little long I don't get much of a "wolf" vibe from him. What about instead of giving him human legs with boots over his feet give him some backwards-bending wolf legs and exposed feet? Or perhaps a tail? Just some thoughts, the picture looks excellent.

    @Alexi_Chubrikov

    I know you're trying to make it look like she has her arms folded behind her back holding the staff but right now she looks like an amputee. Try to get a quick reference photo from someone so you can get this issue corrected because right now its really detracting from what is otherwise a nice piece.

    So many good entries!

    wow, lots of amazing updates from everyone!

    heres a rough sketch idea. i think im gonna go futuristic, fantasy on this one. red riding hood is a hunter, and the wolf is the strongest wolf, leading the last wolves against her campaign.

    God it's been a long time since I last drew (2 years?)

    I've been out of it so long I dunno where to start, so I guess conceptart is as good a place as any. Here's a WIP of my attempt. Damn I feel so rusty with a tablet now...

    Last update for today. Put some work in the wolf, decided on a kind of complementary colour-theme. Maybe I'll put some more saturated accents on the wolf as well, dunno yet. Added some graphic elements to give a bit more of a modern icon feel. At least I'm going places on this one, which is good since I'll be gone for about half of the week and therefore don't have much time left.

    You guys are so bloody talented!!! All of you. I love seeing everyones ideas take shape. Slence and Arther Two Sheds are my favourites so far, both completely different styles but each brilliantly executed. Pxelslayer exquisite rendering.

    Not sure if I can do anything with this but wanted to get my idea down as it is. I have two more free evenings to work on it.

    Saleem — try flipping her to see, but I feel like part of it is a balance issue and the flipping will reveal that; the legs "feel" short but I think the figure's fairly proportional. At rough measurement 7 1/2 heads tall... My suggestion is to try and lengthen (however slightly) the lower legs on top of seeing how things looked when they're flipped.

    @ NickyBeats — I'd like to see more reference used for the wolf and "red." I think the presentation is pretty explosive right now but help with the wolf's "facial" features, werewolf-ish shoulders, arms, etc. and the anatomy of your swashbuckling lady would make it pop that much more...
