These are cool. I like how the way you express texture on each piece. Please check out my sketchbook and feel free to comment. I would greatly appreciate it.

@dblock Hi Dblock, Thanks for the comment. Im glad you like these, they're alot of fun doing. I try to draw more dynamic action poses than I usually do with these and use crazy brushes, which I also wasnt doing before. So all of this is quite refreshing! take it easy

Thanks again for the visit and tips. I always had a tough time working with my imaginative work. I will take this into account in my sketchbook. As far as studies, I really did not understood this concept of studying until a couple years ago so I understand where you are coming from. These really do help with your work and should contact Dave Rapoza on how and what to study. Trust me, your work will improve much, much faster.

so today rather than making a concept for a new character. I decided to practice drawing the cat character. Trying to come up with a way to keep the likeness from initial concept with lines. First attempts were quite far from that...but by the end it is getting closer to the concept. Now that I know which forms and lines to use for a front view, ill have to figure out how to draw him from the side. Ill be doing that for every characters I would want in the story. I will also revisit the clothes and accessories designs later.

By throwing on a soft light layer and painting with a soft brush that is the same color as the light source, you can dab on some ambient light onto the dark spots of your paintings, I think getting some more light into these areas would help them give a more convincing indication that they are in daylight. Screen, Multiply, and overlay work well for this too. It's still fantastic work though, keep it up!
