Smile Wacom Fun Pen and Touch vs Intuos 3

    Hi people,

    Wondering if you can help.

The bamboo fun pen and touch has 1024 pressure sensitivity, and so it has the intuos 3. Does that mean they are equal in this term? the overall feel of drawing is be different? if yes, why?

I'm not talking about the other aspects like more express keys, etc. And i'm not talking about the intous 4 either. Just the actual feel of drawing. Thanks

People will tell you they can draw with a graphire just fine and that had half the levels of pressure sensitivity.

The thing is that you may want to think of a few other factors. For many, just having enough levels of pressure sensitivity is fine. For others, having a higher resolution or accuracy may be what is needed along with the express keys.

Now asking "for drawing" everyone is different. So you have to look at the other features to figure out if it's something you want.

That is a comparison table you can use with the current tablets. While the intuos3 is no longer in the charts, besides the pressure sensitivity levels, and the change in accuracy its specs are still similar to the intuos 4 if you use it for comparison with the touch.

Thanks Arshes Nei. It's difficult to try on the different tablets and know what is best for you if you don't know someone who has them, but that link helped!

I think i will go with the bamboo fun, and when I'll become a great artist and feel the need to buy another one then i'll buy the Cintiq, after saving up all that money (allot)
