    as a beginner, my sketchbook

Hello everyone, I am new here and just started painting on computer for several months. Not satisfied with myself a lot so I want to be improved. I decided to create a sketchbook to courage and stimulate myself to keep drawing. As a beginner I hope to communicate with all of you guys, cuz you are my example. My life is easy, only have two hobbies: drawing pictures and painting model kits.
    some easy sketches

tried to do some charactor design

    Hi there!

Well, what an absolutely rubbish sketchbook you've got here! Kidding. :-) WOW. Can't wait to see you in another couple of months, if this is how far you have already got with a new medium! Beautiful paintings.

    Warmest wishes,

    Ana

Thank you. I learned traditional sketching for years and I know some basic skills of painting, but not good at it. After I began to paint in computer, I found what I have learned was far below the criterion. Being a CGer is far more difficult than I thought! I donnot want to lose my job, so I will keep drawing.
today's quick sketches, donnot have any "study", just fill my paper, but I will do some reasearch to improve myself and I will share it with you in time

i am back, worked for about a month, "escaped" for some reasons . now i am staying at home once again and continue to improve myself, cuz i found it was nearly impossible to practise my painting during the job, what i did through the past one month was just painting small cards for unknown web games(200x315 pixels)again again and again. look back to the past 5 months, i learned nothing and most of the time was wasted for the mass in the company, looking at my classmates, found them were better than before but i am still a beginner, sxxxt.
i want to improve myself a little before i begin to find a new job, wish i will not be so unlucky this time!
quick "finished" a pic what was started two months ago(donnot ask me the reason for the delay, ask my boss, although he didnot realize how idealistic he is.).

and i continue the sketch during these months.

and problem comes. i found it was no use to do those kind of sketches. and my boss told me to combine lines and shades was the most useful way to practise my painting(he gave me some examples, the sketches look just like what Wes Burt and Marko Djurdjevic did). i tried to do some sketches like this kind, but found it donnot looks like that...
i found it hard to handle this kind of sketch, donnot know which kind of pencil shall i use, normal pencil or mechanical pencil?? and the way to use shades? is there any sketch demo by some master like NOX or WES BURT or Marko Djurdjevic ????? help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
