Great work, I love how he is looking down upon the village, gives a good sense of scale.

No critiques as such, i love ur take on the character, I would not have his neck as long as it is but to be honest thats just personal preference.

Will you post the painted pics?

OOOOOOOOH - nice little town getting stomped, chomped - or whatever!
Nice crisp wings - good texture on the skin and tentacles.
If anything - I would suggest making the wings a bit more tattered - after all, Cthulhu has used those things for eaons - but that is a question of taste.
    - Just the thing you would buy as a souvenir, when visiting a sleepy little town by the sea, in southern England ;-) Love it!

I like it a lot! It is well carried out and it looks interesting from all angles. Good work!
My only - small - complain is, that it looks like his hind legs and wings are poorly integrated into his body. They look attached rather than being a part of his body. Also the texture on his back seems a little less finished than the rest (but maybe it is supposed to?).

Very unique and creative. I do agree with the need for a shorter neck and tattered wings, though.

The crab legs, batlike wings, octopus tenacles, and insectlike head, all coming together in one beast reminds me of a mythical creature, such as the gryphon.

cool concept. that town sure is in a heap of trouble.
the only thing I would change is the blending of the wings and legs into the back. they look stuck on.
but I still really like it

    Thanks!
The wings and look "stuck on" because I am planning to cast it if enough people like it. Then the kit builder would seam the kit to tie them in.
The legs look that way because the have a carapace on the top edge of them. If it was blended in, he couldn't move them.

Must've missed this (I disappeared from here for some months) but this is a really great rendition of Cthulhu, I like the insectoid direction you took it, and the multiple eyeballs are just creepy.

Well.....no. Just the original which needs reworked to breakdown a bit more. It needs to have the body separate from the base to fit in the pressurepot and cleaned up a bit here and there. The buildings are a bit rushed too for my tastes.

Originally it was to be on our slate for release this summer, but less than stellar sales of others in our line-up has scuttled it for now. It has a LOT of parts (big parts) and to cast it was going to be a bigger financial undertaking that we were going to save for. We have sold none of our mutations yet, and the chamberlain has only sold 6 or so. http://www.monster-makers.com/store.html So we are going to do more superdeforms for now as those are selling beyond great but are not big ticket items. If you have any characters you'd like to see in that form, let me know. We're always open to ideas.
