    MarisDesign Car mods (freehand+vexel)

Hello everybody! I have a strong passion for cars and tuning. My experience with photoshop is just of 2 weeks. My works are full brush and the tuning elements are freehanded on paper then are put on the car. I am a begginer and i'd like to hear some advices and tips. I don't have a tablet so i work just with the mouse and that si ver time-consuming. I hope you like my works!

    those cars look really sexy!

would be cool to see some context. Maybe driving through some nice enviornments or something like in the commercials!

i wish i could do vehicle stuff. i suck so much at it.

    hello!
ok so at the moment you're pathing over photos right? the designs arent really to my taste, bit too Mansory for me, but youre doing a decent job chopping new parts onto existing cars. its a very time-intensive process though. try refining your character lines to the smoothest, fastest lines you can, and then shading with large blobs of semiopaque colour to suggest form and surface treatment. learn about bone lines and tumblehome, and other car design jargon.
also remember if youre only doing bodykits, you cant change the body in white of the car, ie you cant change the haunch of the Jaguar above the rear wheel, thats sacrosanct (the tooling to make that part of the car is too expensive and intensive to change)
subscribe to Auto+Design if you can...
i think the best advice i can give is study the best car design sketches you can find> here's some to get you going...
