Hey guys sorry for the lack of updates, i was very busy last week.
now the hardest part of school is over.

here are some new sketches from today.
i think i have to start from zero...so i start practising basic forms. any tipps how to study? what should i do first?

i studied enviroments too, i decided to start with values. im happy about the result, better than i expected.

thanks a lot mussy, thats motivating.

    here is some new stuff:

some chow "warrior alice" sketches (alice in wonderland), i did the mistake that i draw her (the blonde) with an soft ovalbrush, so she turns out blurred.
dont have enough time to finish it, but i had fun with it.

quick value studie of the Teufelsfelsen in Germany, teufelsfelsen means something like "devil rock"

and last but not least, my entry for cow "solar collector"

danke für dein angebot Ziegengrimm, habe es aber selbst gerade als ebook gefunden.
es gibt anscheinend doch ein paar deutsche in diesem forum

    update: "solar collector"

after saving the jepg file for this sketchbook, i wasnt concentrated and closed the original psd file..im such a dumbass.

first picture is my last saving point, so i have to start there again.

i really should save more often.

Edit: i noticed the perspective of the second one doesnt looks right. maybe its good to restart and take care to get the perspective right.

btw i didnt drawn the feets jet, hes not crawling through water or something.

To save often is useful but you can lose only pictures, not practice I start to realize it would be better to lose more wips, doing them more than once would be more useful...

The blond girl isn't just blurry, you should have use a bigger brush too I guess (I personally like to use a pressure sensitive sized brush).
The girl next to it has too slim and long and too short and thick legs for her height.
Your last enviro: the original has sharpness and high contrast, being a rugged rock in sunlight, your picture doesn't show this. Details aren't that important but you should be brave with contrast and use higher opacity hard brushes to show those sharp bright sunlit areas.

It's great you do these different things, keep it up!

thanks for your help shiNIN, your comments are very helpful.

your right, i completly missed the sharpness. i will keep that advice in mind for the next time drawing it.
maybe i do a little paintover later.

i don't worried about the loss of the picture and kept drawing instead.
in my opinion it turns out better, but the legs are really hard to draw.

hey guys, i redrawn my solar collector today. i decided to give im four legs instead of six. because i had difficulties with the perspective.
tomorrow i think i will refining the fur and make im look like hes absorbing sunlight.

furthermore i did some figure studies, last figures are with references from posemaniacs.com

before i forget, i really need some tips about blending, at the moment it is terrible and very slow.
i will post more information, how i do it tomorrow.
i think i know what im doing wrong, but i dont know how to do it better.
