    Damn you all.
    Damn this stupid topic.
    I don't have time to do this. I can't afford not working on this instead of other things.

    Damn you all to hell.

    first sketch, not that big of a fan of this right now ...have to see where it takes me ^^

    have another idea but didint managed to do this as wished: so anybody who is able to do this may have my first idea: a little boy with a wooden sword, a lid of a trashcan, a football helmet that is way to big for him and his teddy bear either pinned to the lid or walking around animated by magic being his companion ( see extra challenge this week ^^ ), the idea is that he is a paladin already but doesnt really know yet what that means he just discovered that he is able to use some sort of magic and that he has that strong urge inside to make things better as they are right now, and the urge to help the weak, which in his case are a bunch of kids he protects right now against the evils the inhabit the wasteland of the great apocalypse

    so long
    Seb

    @Ahnem Mee

    Love the composition. I so hope you have time to finish it because its got a great sense of drama too it.

    @M

    I agree with what was said about the proportions and such, but overall I really like the piece and the feel of it. I am still not getting much of a "paladin" feel from it though, it looks like some kind of futuristic cyborg guy. Which actually brings me to my biggest crit, the giant robot hand. I LOVE the idea of it and it looks really cool, but I can't help feeling its pose looks out of place with the rest of the guy. I mean, you have this sullen figure walking dejectedly along and then you have the robot hand up in a somewhat dramatic pose with the fingers splayed like its grasping something. Maybe a more natural resting position in like with what a person looks like while walking would be more fitting?

    @Munkierevolution

    Naneel's crit is EXACTLY what I would have said. Perfect paint over. I love the rest of your piece so far!

    @Mark Tarisse

    Great rendering so far man, really enjoying the look. This guys looks like he could eat nails. The anatomy on the sword arm seems a little off, like he only has one muscle.

    So here's mine!

    Stared by widening the piece and readjusting the composition so it breathes better and gives a better scope. Worked on the background, started blocking in the main shades, redid the demon under him. Gotta go to work now, can't wait to get back to it! Of course any crits would be welcome. Please!

    funky paladin

    First post! I spelled my nick-name wrong - way to make an entrance.
    Our current assignment in school is to participate in this contest, so here's a WIP from me.

    Mark Tarrisse: Looking great! To me his right leg looks wrong though, not sure if the shin is too long or what

    Sentinel. Wowsers!

    [ste]: Sweet start! I reckon if you whip that cloak up in a Batman stylie with a hord of demons behind him, that could work? Also I think a more dramatic pose, maybe croaching with one hand on the floor like he's recovering in combat?

    Partisan: Great feel to this already

    WIP Paladin

    Woa! Sooo many good entries so far! Good job everyone! Looking forward to monday!

    First time contestant so here goes! My WIP Paladin, did some thumbs to start off, then continued with a different pose. Though I think both poses (original and new) look pretty good.

    Advice is much appreciated!

    So many cool ideas!

    Here's my paladin, I'm thinking of adding a companion for her, a squirrel or something odd.

    I wanted to go for a more modern, post-apocalyptic future. They've just gone through the guns, and are now having to resort to other weapons, swords, polearms, etc.

    Little wip, my vision of a paladin slaying demons. With his bare hands! He needs to be more paladin like imo, working on it! Crits more than welcome!

    Really cool to see so many different takes! This will be a tough one.
    I had no time to work on this today, just some fixing of the original sketch.

    Just a doodle, trying to figure out a decent costume for my nun. Anyone got any ideas? I can't seem to think of anything interesting I can do with her outfit. Costume design is one of my many weaknesses. :/
