Talking Semi-Newbie, first real time posting... (random sketches)

Okie dokie, the following pics have been done within the year (albeit in school) so these are probably the best examples of my current level (drawing-wise)

    first up:

Semi-Newbie, first real time posting... (random sketches)

the first vehicle was actually photoshopped and with color but for some reason it just came across as cartoony and just plain silly...the second im sure at some point i will color but i just have to make sure it looks ginormous and perhaps at a different angle because it's intended to be larger than say mount everest...ill update once its done

    next:

Semi-Newbie, first real time posting... (random sketches)

ah...drawing in chemistry...what could be better? oh wait...i know...not BEING in chemistry! anyay the doodle above was going to be a whole lot bigger but i ran into a problem...the hands that are supposed to be cupped and ready to catch the necklace i screwed up and just plain didnt know how to do...help!

    third:

Semi-Newbie, first real time posting... (random sketches)

okie doke, now these were taken from photos from some anatomy/figuredrawing resources page...unfortunately i lost the source (great....) , when i find it ill post it...btu basically i was trying to figure out the muscle placement for the front and back...right now it's substance not style that im trying to establish (hence why a lot of the subjects are rather boring to look at {at least in my opinion})

    fourth:

Semi-Newbie, first real time posting... (random sketches)

    hee hee...dragon (again chemistry)

    fifth:

Semi-Newbie, first real time posting... (random sketches)

ok...this one i was drawing whilst listnin to radiohead (so you know i was in a wierd state of mind) by the way cantante dominus = we sing of god....um the composition i feel has the right elements but there are several problems a) the position of the man kneeling over...theres something wrong and i cant tell what it is b) i believe the view is too plain but at the same time i didnt want it to be too dramatic and more like a shot out of a kubrik film. and c)theres something else but i just cant put my finger on it..help!

    last but not least:

Semi-Newbie, first real time posting... (random sketches)

i photoshopped this pic..its nothing too special but i like the suit design....yeah nothing more bout that...

well thats it....please crit and comment! struggling artist in need of criticism desperately!!!!!!

The bottom space-ship design is fantastic. V.original which is pretty difficult these days. I would definately get some layout paper, render it with a fine pen and color it. Also some detail drawings would be nice, e.g inside the ship, landing platform etc
