thanks for the compliment and encouragement!
Stuff done today digitally-
more scans later just lazy to scan sketchbooks
Girl with a Katana- Assignment 15.
uff not really a finished piece but something I did for the study group i'm involved in
really the focus is meant to be the sword and it's scabard/sheath.
The original concept was posted a few posts back. I'm not exactly happy with her hands, but then again, i'm not happy with much of it ;(
Done start to finish in about 2-3 hours in Photoshop with no reference used except some research into Japanese traditional clothing.

Sketchbook stuff and some studies of the head and its features. I think the next 30 posts of page 4 of this sketchbook shall primarily be dedicated to portraits and faces.
Personally I'm trying to increase my daily drawing load from the current 3-4 to more serious work levels around 6-8+. The more I spend now the better I am after- at least thats the line of thinking

Nice sketchbook! Love your studies, they are looking great! I think your drawings will improve if you use different brushes settings, I don't like the soft brushes.. Maybe that's just something personal, but I would use some harder one's. Or mix it more up.
Maybe it's good for you to do some more environments, props and perspective. Don't only do characters. I do think that it helps to learn from everything something. Maybe I am wrong... You should do offcourse what you like to do
I actually use Photoshop for my digital drawings. Using a normal brush (shape dynamics, sometimes transfer and smoothing). Good luck and thanks for dropping by!

Finishing off some leg anatomy studies from Vilppu as well as some 10 minute figure drawings and enviros thumbs for DAMJANs thread, As well copying a bunch of heads from Hogarth God I hate my line work, I just can't seem to grasp it completely, and I fall into chicken scratching or they just look sooo off.
