Hey Liberty I love the concept of your second painting in post #101, it's really funny. Good job with your Butkus studies and I like the Asaro head paintings as well.

I like your latest updates - the riddick sketches and the very last one all have good lines and form ~ readable and clean.

& as I mentioned over the chat the face-plane studies you did are nice control wise.

keep it up, and while mad, you might want to channel that into the controlled anger/insanity of said pieces ~

    & until next time o/

Good work liberty Make sure you see excuses for what they are, a way to hold you back from reaching your goals. Anyways, read some of andrew loomis's creative illustration on colour. Things will start making a lot more sense and I get the feeling that your painting will improve a lot. Good luck

I agree with Nibras on this, try to look for some tutorials on how colors are interact with each other and how you mix colors.
Keep up doing the great work!

Do you use a digital pen? if so don't do strokes like those on the ground on the balloon piece (a simple gradient with some scribbly lines or a lasso tool forest would be better).

They fuck up the perspective and throws the eye.

Make the lines follow the shapes - don't work against them.

You should also look at the shadows - sometimes you have really bright (brighter than the sun side) in shadow, and then sometimes two planes with the same material in the same angle have different colours/values despite themselves - like the stairs.

    A quick paintover.

I removed a lot of information without re-adding it back - since I just wanted to illustrate stroke control - and value/colour in shadow and light.

Bok Ivy! Danas vidio svoj posao. Htio sam reći nekoliko riječi o boji. Rad s bojama, u načelu, vrlo jednostavan.
I uzeti jednostavan objekt: lopta, olovke, vijak, kocka. Onda uzmi drugo politru i privući iste objekta pomoću novog politru. Kako bijela i crna.
Excuse if it looks as totally ludicrous! Simply in English I am wouldn't state all this stuff. Start to work with color from simple objects. They too have a beauty and an esthetics.
