Cat By The Stream
The light source in this scene is supposed to be a sort-of flashlight coming from the front with some feint fill light in the scene.
Any C&C greatly appreciated.

Even though it is a very naive style, I think the figure would benefit from a modelling pass to create a sense of form. A little anatomy ref wouldn't go astray either.

Heheh... that's kinda what I thought when I saw the first picture... it looks like a clay statue. I, too would suggest looking at some feline anatomy to give some definition to the form. Also, the picture is very middlevalue/grey now, so some contrast wouldn't hurt. I like the grumpyness of the cat though Is there a story behind this image?
