I'll work my hardest to improve!
My name is Shernise! im nineteen~, and I want to be a professional illustrator.
I have a love for the Asian approach to fashion, and beauty.
I'm also in an art collective with other artists of different mediums, producers, poets, musicians etc. etc. Currently pushing out study after study!
I'll be studying in Japan next year!
first post here, not quite sure what to expect, but i was getting a little fed up with DA, and was told I could get well rounded constructive criticism.
<: so here I am.

finally finally finished the logo mascot image for this shop in town.
im charging $600. my largest job ever.
im very happy.
finally going to commit more time to sketching just bought the imagine fx anatomy book, and downloaded a lot of the free ones on this site, going to absorb everything.
i have one tattoo design coming up, and a large large piece for another store, not a logo though, and just was asked to do more portraits.

I just had to pop in and say- WOW!
I love your pieces, very inspiring- you definitely have your own style in a very good way.

thank you so much (:
its easy for me to forget that even i can create art that inspires. .
more finished pieces, and a few shots of my studies.
i like sketching scary men,
started on paper, finished in ps.
i liked this sketch so much it turned into this.
stilll a wip
the sketch was practice in form and anatomy, but the paining i focused more on face. much much more. ahah used plenty of refs.

Woah, you've got some nice skills working for you. You obviously have a good foundation that you can keep working on. One thing I do notice is the abundance of the "high contrast" approach. I think that your work could really benefit with a deeper understanding of value and shading and eventually light and color. Your pencil sketch of Morrigan has such lovely complexity and a lot of that is lost in the colored version.
Anyways, I look forward to seeing more work from you!

thank you metal fingers! i am a worshiper of the female form.
jjacks thank you also!
yes, i felt like i left alot out.
im rancid at creating muscles that still come off as feminine.

depressingly enough, this is my firs tcolor study.
i did some pencil studies, reading loomis books working on facial structure feel like ive learned so much in only a few hours
going to try to do a color study every day, and also do a loomis exercise.
welp. here you go, also i have a fan with a blue light under my computer, and that what that reflection is.

Hey Spirited! Good stuff you got going on here. I hope you update this more with some recent improvements! I am positive you have and I am still lawding over you being only 18/19.
I am going to have to add on with what was mentioned earlier - try to get more complimentary colors in it!!! You have the foundations to a pinpoint but expand! I am hoping this isn't coming across as DBaggery but honestly, the best thing for you to do is probably start doing painting in real life, it will increase your speed and efficiency with colors in digital dramatically!
Also some male anatomy would show that you have depth with understanding the human body (which I bet you can) as opposed to just women which....I don't mind
Lastly - I love your compositions but some seem like studies with references as opposed to individual concept...I am really keen on seeing what you can do with your own creating, that is, unless you already are doing this.
Anyways I hope I am not coming across as a jerk with my critique as I am amazed at your ability whilst still being a teenager. Just try chugging out some traditional art like that of your Morrigan but then some. I sadly am the opposite with my sketchbook as I only have speed sketches but I am sure that you are going to wind up on the right path and go far places in the end.
Can't wait for more! Cheers!
Striving to be the best that is possible before I conk into the grave.
My Sketchbook! Critique EVERYTHING!!
