    Print Magazine

Here's a piece I'm working on for an assignment/print magazine cover contest. Pretty different from my usual stuff, but I think it fits the magazine. Let me know what you think.

And here's just some fun I had with the drawing.

I'm not sure I like the lines in the second one but I really like the rendering.

The lines work much better in the first pic which I really like.

thanx kapt, if i go back into the rendered painting I'll get rid of the lines. Wish me luck on the first one. I'm already like 2 and a half hours late to the class this is due for.

I really like this one. Those eyes are so well done.

    nice work!

the first one i think could use a more subtle tone on the cheek. the line work style on the 2nd one sort of reminds me of aeon flux. good stuff..

I like the picture, really graphic, and definitely apt for the magazine. The face's features seem pretty skewed. The lips don't line up with the nose and eyes. Maybe try putting it up to the mirror, or rotate it in PS, or something to see it more easily.

I'd also put some shoulders on there. A nicely drawn collarbone could add a lot to it.

The eyebrows also don't seem to fit the style of the rest of the drawing. I like the lines of them though.

thanx for the help guys. Ha ha, you are actually the second person to make an Aeon Flux reference, I had almost forgotten about that cartoon, but it's definately a compliment. Peter Chung is certainly the man. Hmmmm... I'm def gonna clean up the linework, fix the eyebrows, and make the rosy cheaks more subtle. Unfortunately I don't see the lip thing, although I definately was looking for it. If you could point out exactly what it is you're seeing that'd be awsome. It's the same line work on both of these peices, so I have it from both angles. If anyone else see's a prob with this lips I'd like to hear from you as well. Thanx again!

    Mike

You've fallen into my tendency to make them a bit necky.

hi, i just wanted to point out some stuff, her nose is too bumpy, and you made her neck look too long, and you kinda gave her an adams apple. Everything else looks great, the structure and her cheek bones in her face are good, and the eyes are beautiful. Keep up the good work. :fish:
