Pretty cool stuff right here ...
You seem to have a really nice understanding of the facial proportions... keep up the good work!

whoaa okay I feel like I haven't posted here in ages
I still haven't have a scanner yet to scan all my sketches
but my friend has bought me a tablet to play with
I'll make my new year resolution to be more active or at least a post everyday
because I really, REALLY want to meet new people and learn from them
edit: sorry for some crappy quality pictures
these are just sketches and a still life study for one of my classes

what is skin tone?
ahahaha so horrible -__-
December 19th, 2011 #11
I'm trying to play with my tablet more often
I feel like I don't give it enough love ):
but it's just time consuming ^^;
I'll try to finish this one, I really like the colours in the original picture

doing poses daily
arghh .. I think one of the reason I dislike
5 mins is that I draw too SLOW!! and when I realize that I don't have much time I hurry up and mess the proportion and perspective
it's like all my energy from 30s and 60s warmups are sucked away
and I turn into a sloth during 5 mins -___-"

argghh I'm getting unmotivated for an some odd reason
I've been trying to read loomis but I prefer a book and a computer screen
it hurts my eyes
but going out with my friends I got the advantage
to stalk people in the mall

Studies are looking good!
Artsyposes is a good site for the fast gesture drawings, but in your case I would suggest NOT to focus on the speed so much.
Perhaps set the timer to 2 minutes and then do it.
It's better when you get the gesture right, even if it took you longer than thought.
The speed comes from itself after a while.

@Silwynar: oh okay it's just that rush through it when I'm scared I'll run out of time Dx but I'll focus on getting the gesture right Thanks for that website
Argghh my gestures are still rusty looking but I took my time on them
I'll need to burn more of loomis and gestures pld:

Each post looks better than the last! Really dig your traditional work, hope you can get a scanner soon so we can see them in all of their glory. Quick tip, take your work outside on a sunny day and shoot it layingdown against a black background, being careful to avoid having your shadow in the shot. That would help loads with image quality~
Anyway, good stuff, you're on the right track with all your studies and such, i'm eager to see more!

I'm just trying to go outside my comfort zone that I'm always scared to do, and do MORE imagination, I feel that they'll turn out errr ...ugly (I have no confidence), but that's the worst it can only get
however I'm actually enjoying colouring on a tablet for once :3
