Hello! I've been lurking about this site for several years and finally worked up the nerve to start a sketchbook. Sad, huh?
Little info about me: I'm just starting my second year as an animation major, but I feel I'm still lacking in terms of foundations and design principles. Critiques/advice/flaming bricks/cookies are more than welcome. (Well, maybe not the bricks...) I'm here to improve.
Here we goooo:
Hi, Jill! Glad you're posting!
I LOVE your eyes studies. Incredible. Keeping eyes proportionate is the hardest thing for me, so I'm impressed with your skillz.
I can't wait to see more!

Thanks Cozmo! I really enjoy drawing a person's eyes. It's everything else I have a problem with.
Just some quick gestures and two speedpaints for today.
Nice start Jill!
Love your digital cityscape, very well done.
You've got a good grasp on the anatomy studies, which is great! (Love your little notes, haha)
I'd love to see what else you've got coming!
Thank you, Zenobia. I'm glad you like it. Not really used to drawing cityscapes but I'd like to do more. Haha, I tend to make notes or silly comments on my sketches at times.
Did this speedpaint recently that I forgot to upload. Got a bunch of work to do tonight...
Holy geez. I feel pretty lazy for not updating as often as I should have. Been on a break and doing...well, nothing important. But here are some studies, some old-ish and some recent:
I like your eyes sketches, soo much life in them! Speedpaint is cool too
Been so caught up doing 3D stuff that I haven't been doing any actual painting. Trying to get back in the swing of things (and relax at the same time, haha).
Hi Jill! Thanks for checking out my sketchbook! Great stuff here, and I look forward to seeing more from you
A couple of value studies courtesy of Ctrl+Paint and a small tribute to the PSN game Journey. (Well worth checking out, PS3 players.)
So jealous of those eye and foot studies. Both look great That foggy scene with the tree is looking really great too.
Wish I had a PS3 to play Journey on, it looks so beautiful! Great tribute to it you did here.
Keep up the good work, I want to see more
