I really like the gestures, are these "blind drawings". I do the same kind of ink sketching after seeing it in Bert Dodson's book. I make myself go out every day that is sunny and have no class, and draw at least 3 drawings with ink (so far I have got a few at the middle and end of my sketchbook).

Vay – Thank you. I draw in rainy day too. Raindrops and ink are great combination. IMHO gesture and blind drawings are great to make graphical notes.

    2010 Part 31 – Different drawings
Today drawings with a little Derwent Drawing addition. I'm not sure, is it good way to go? Drawings with pen and brush were clearer for me.

I'm loving your freedom of exploration! Beautiful stuff! I think in your last post, the values are getting too mixed up and that may be what is making them less clear. Have you seen this post from Gurney? http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/20...-mumbling.html This looks like a cool exercise for learning how to group values, and even how to suggest contour without drawing it. I'm gonna try this exercise, because I have the same problem! Cheers!

Dark_Eyes – Thank you for comment and link. I will try this exercise for sure, but now i'm stucked with Natural Way to Draw. Great book imho but you need to be patient. I'm in schedule 3 and draw more gesture drawings then for all my life

I agree with yout, that combination pen, ink and crayons is messy and i can't control it.

2010 Part 32 – Pen, ink and crayon mess
I will stick with pen and ink. I can control it better and it is clearer to me. Today last part of mixed media drawings

mass87 – Thank you. I'm still trying to find my way

Today i want to start new section in this sketchbook. Because i need time to fill new notebooks, i want to share my watercolors with you. It is very difficult technique for me, but i love it.
Please, let me know what you think about it.

Watercolors 2010 Part 2 – Sensing my body
Today three paintings i made trying to hear my body. It is great thing, when you can connect with your body and draw / paint what you feel. It is like kind of meditation for me. Very refreshing and inspiring.

Watercolor 2010 Part 4 – Fishing boat again
One more try with boat. This time based on my memory not sketches.
I think it is better. I can't find myself in detailed, precise drawing and painting.

In love with your style and process! Have you ever brought any of you inkings into photoshop to color? I think it'd be an interesting combination. Maybe not though. You seem like you'd want to keep it as organic as possible.

I have some dip pens and india ink on their way and after looking through your sketchbook I can't wait to experiment.
