I think you could stand to get out of your comfort zone a little. Try some anatomy studies. Simple poses at first then work up to more complex ones. Focus on the angles of the figures.

Posting some older stuff, this ranges from a year to a semester ago.
The feathered dragon and the alien is not my own concept, one was a painting I did as a trade and the other was a gift.

Hey there, great start on your Sketchbook! Just wanted to come by to check out what you have been brewing in your sketchbook. Thanks for visiting my sketchbook, by the way.

I really like This I think its great how you have started to set up the colours in it. Keeping it neat and tidy will help a lot through to the final stages of painting it.

    Keep up the good work

Hi, I like your dragons but the girl has some problems with the feet, more anatomical studies here will help. Do a series of drawings copying from photos if you can't have a person to pose for you.

Luckers: Thanks, environment and background art is the major thing I'm working on right now. I might make a thread for the progress with this picture so I can get some thorough walk-through with it. Sometimes I'll start out strong and then I'll find myself slacking.

Cojac: I can see what you mean, feet are difficult for me I'll probably spend the time I have before class doing studies of feet and hands.

Nice creatures, I recommend try picking a dominant lightsource instead of just ambient shading; for example just a outside topdown light for starters, it'l help put some depth into your pics.

    These dragons are really creative!
I love how each one has its own design and flavor, and how you helped accomodate that with matching backgrounds and situations.

I was able to post this sketch from my assignment in class today. Posemaniacs threw we some boring ones at the end for my 60 sec .

Next: doing feet and hands like Cojac recommended.

also here is an update on the dragon, I made a WIP thread for it here
