Sweet studies!!!!!! the latest one is great! liking the vampire child of DOOOM!!
I didn't even notice until just then that you're an Aussie, mutual local love represent! That most recent study is looking killer, I like the hard edges you've kept especially around the nose and eyes. Perhaps if you left a few more soft spaces the eye would be able to rest more and get drawn into the sharp contrast around the eyes. Get onto some more Loomis prac next, keep chugging along with me! Ps. Thanks for the screenshot link, I'm gonna get stuck into a few tomorrow.
haha thanks AdrianNagorski!
oh woah Ebersol I didnt realize! aussie rep
and thanks man, definitely need to work on my edges some more, but more importantly the Loomis stuff, I'll upload some tomorrow
Anyway heres a painting of a friend of mine
tronrobot - thanks man
Good variety you've got here. I'd say try experimenting with different brush types, particularly hard and soft-edged. This allows you to control focus in particular areas.
Keep at it!
The_Flying_Dutchman Thanks! I definitely have been neglecting the soft brush I feel, focused on both more in this update
warrior and a dragon
. You ve got a nice style coming along. I like the portrait of your friend. Your usage of brush strokes is great. The warriorsm and armor studies have really good brush work. Keep up the great works!

Heres an enviro, needs more definition I think, some areas are very vague I think, any tips?
quick one of my friend whilst on skype
quick enviro, I like how the foreground of the beach turned out, but not so much the rest
Wow great stuff, Love the japanese temple on the previous page and the beach on this one!
I dont think I should be critiquing your work at this point, but if anything I think you should spend more time refining and rendering some of your work; it would do some real justice to it! The beach has a lot of potential and the dragon too. As sketches, they are great, but I think the could whoop some serious fucking ass if you took them even further
I like your blocky brush style, kind of gives some lively texture to everything you do, ill keep an eye out for this SB
SandyMan - Thanks mate! I agree, I have a horrible habit with not taking things to the final polished stage, thats gotta change!
getting frustrated with anatomy and some ship sketches
