    Greeeeaaaaat.
I like how you work on the faces,
and how you make some of them look like caricatures.
Good work, keep on like this.

    School Magazine Portraits

These are four teacher-portraits I did for the annual Magazine of the Designschule München, which I'm attending to. These are a mix of Caricature and Realistic approach.

    Nightmare

This is a dream I had the other day. I was flying in my bed, recognizing i am a skeleton. As I'm looking around, I see my face flying next to the bed, laughing at me.

You were away for quite a longer time, but you
came back with full force and power. The teacher
semi realistic/caricature portraits are done in a great
fashion. You have a good eye for those things.
The dream capture is real strong and it must have some
important meaning. You just paint/draw your dreams as
often you can, will mean much to you if you come back
to look at it after a while. Because we most often forgot
about our dreams in a week or two, but capturing them on
paper will help you to review things later. I tried it myself.
So, I am glad that you are back and that you are updating
more often. Will try to catch you later if you will be around.

Awesome sketchbook so far! Right now I'm loving the study of the Chinese building in post #15 and the portraits in post #17. I'm also impressed that you painted that apple in just 10 minutes. Basically, your paintings from reference are really well done.

Your work from imagination feels a bit static to me, and I think it comes down to mostly composition and color scheme. You have a lot of color variation, but the colors aren't working together and come off rather muddy; they're not bouncing off each other, they're all desaturated and murky. Look at the study of the Chinese painting in post #15, look at that rich, vibrant red and how it feels even brighter when juxtaposed with the fresh green from the trees behind and the blue of from the sky and shadows. Try to bring a touch of that boldness into your imaginative work and really push the focus of the image. Figure out where you want the viewer to look and get their attention using composition, contrast, and color.

Keep up the good work, and keep posting!
