WHO wants Algenpfleger (Hannes) back to this community?

    Hey dude!

I was actually thinking about Algenpfleger because his sketchbook:
~klick for awesome skills~ was commented by a few users again.
He is already away for a "long" time, but his sketchbook is still commented often.
In my opinion it's a shame that he left this community

So i had the great idea to make a small tribute video about his sketchbook progress, the comments and this community.
Perhaps we can even get him to join us again ;D

So, everybody who wants Algenpfleger back:
    Leave some comments.

Perhaps i am going to show some pieces of this thread too.

    Greetings, Sil

Sil as much as this is a wonderful thought Hannes left CA.org for personal reasons and I think it's completely his choice whether he contributes or not. Maybe he'll come back in his own time, but till then you can always see his artwork on his deviantart and blog.

why dont you just check out his work on deviant art and leave comments there

also you should probably just leave his work in his sketchbook instead of posting it here as well.

That would be nice, and I think it's great that you're showing such support, but I agree that even though I don't know his reasons and wasn't around when he was still an active member, his reasons for leaving were personal and probably valid.

But like others have already said, check his blog and deviantart to keep up with him. He posts fairly regularly there You're awesome for being so vocal about your support of another artist

He made his mark and that's great for him!
There's a LOT of other artists on this site that could use equal support that are still actively posting here, though.

I just discovered his sketchbook now. Very inspiring.
However, I feel as though his "marketing" was spot on, he made a boss thread, million views, pags upon pages of replies, and then left with a bang.

    Like The notorious Biggie.

I feel as though the story is complete on this one.

Algenpfleger was a great part of this community that everyone was ecstatic about, and then he had a falling out with admin. This is opening up a can of worms that we're all trying to avoid, probably including Algen. There were personality conflicts, and other issues.

It sucks to see him go, and he's definitely missed. It's all very personal, so many of us don't know the details, and all we can do is wish both parties well, and keep focusing on what makes this site great, so we can continue to grow.

I know the personal things what made him leave these community so far,
but it is anyway a shame.
Perhaps i am ANYWAY going to make a small video of his progress because in my opinion he was a really awesome meber of this community.

    OMG i luv Hannes...

I would love to see him come back.

I would like to add Jana and Alex to this as well.
    Marko... meh.

    BUT...

But i do agree with the above comment that his story here is complete and he is now in a new, better chapter. He has got a really great movement of his own starting on his DA.
We need to spend more time on helping the people who are in this community right now and building each other up.

I think that the people who are plastered on the site's banner do need to post and be a part of the community in some form. Regardless of their contribution if they are not posting and being somewhat active ever now and again we cant propagate the message that they sum the ideals of our community...

This community really is shot if we keep looking to outsiders to bring the sparkle back to our forums!

Algen was a story of his own. And if it means alot to you, you can even download his whole SB from his DA.
But realize that he is a PART of the journey that is continuing for all the people involved in this forum.

Ive been a Stalker/Memeber of the forums since is started and ive seen this beautiful story of triump play over and over again. And its a matter of time till the next one comes.

We have a lot of great emerging artists here already:

    Kevin Krato
    Bapsi
    Parsakoira
    Tiger1313
    DefiledVisions
    MatejaPetkovic
    hücumkedi
    Nickodemus
    Mr.Delicious
    Miles Johnston

that just how it goes, more room for younger artists to grow when the big ones are out of the picture this is not to be taken as an offence

Instead of making a video about his progress, spend that time drawing. I think that's the best way to pay a "tribute" to him, by showing that his art and attitude inspired you enough for you to follow in the same direction

The only way you're gonna get him back is by doing what he did. Then maybe you'll be the one everybody wants back .

Things happen. People come and people go. Priorities change. People grow up, get jobs, lose interest, have kids, get sick, find other things to do, other places to spend time. Sometimes it's a decision, a sudden break, sometimes it just happens gradually over time.

    Que sera sera.

Just because someone moves away from a community doesn't mean that they have been completely removed from the face of the planet.
If you really want to hang around with him, send him an email, invite him to skype, opencanvas or whatever. Better still meet the man in person and go out and draw with him?

ca is so unique because of the drama that happens here from time to time... its not like he died or stopped posting his art... he just stopped posting on ca...

sometimes i get the impression of some kind of religious sect on here... ca.org is not the fucking holy grail... there are tons of other art related inet communities out there and each one is as valid as the other...

He's a cool guy who did great work but i dont care that hes gone. Its allways a phenomenon that people are literaly stalking thoose ones who are realy working hard and get good at what they're doing.
Then people start to believe that its his "talent" or "holy gift" what makes him that good and by watching and commentating every footstep he makes they hope to get a piece of it.
So many of us are searching for a "trick", a shortcut or an excuse to become good, just because they're too f*cking lazy to swing their own ass in motion. the answer to success is to bleed for it! there is no trick! there is no shortcut and excuses less then ever ...

I dont want to say that you shouldnt watch other peoples work. Im just saying that when you waste your whole life on watching other peoples feet, you trend to forget to move your own.

I dig that, man. It's great to be inspired by his progress, but it doesn't mean a thing if you don't progress on your own. Good call.

People like algenpfleger (those who really work hard and improve) make this site more interesting and I've always considered them together with the professionals who post here to be the best part of CA.

that's a beautiful quote and every word you said is correct, I catch myself doing that from time to time, maybe even unknowingly you try to get that little secret that makes certain people good at what they do, but all it requires is hard work.
