Ok now i had more time to fill up some of the blanks left before. I edited my first post and made an intro, check it out!!!
Here's some stuff
This character is new, i finished it Monday if I'm not mistaking, yes Monday, here it is, I've added a small story underneath, thought wold be nice to give you a bit of the story that was floating around when i was working on the character.
Aaaaand some older stuff, gallery stuff actually, directly to and for you from the dark room where i keep them, no really, i keep them in my room but ...
This is an installation i did for an exhibition last summer (3m high by 1.8m wide), it resembles a comic page if you look at it from the front, but it's 3d. moving around it can give you a more detailed view of what really going on

way to come back, giorge!
very professional looking work all around.
especially love the textures you can achieve in your analog paintings, something i struggle with very much!
and neat pencil drawings too. looking forward to more!

Dope Fiend - master chef is preparing more food for your eyes, and remember the more you wait, more delicious it gets
monotony - thanks, the traditional stuff (painting) i just let go and let it flow, don't stress to achieve a certain texture, you just have to give in and explore.
So here is some of the stuff I've been working on lately

p sage - yah, kinda absent, but for good reasons. I had to take from forum time and give it to drawing time . I swing by occasionally on the forum to see what's going on. But the blog is up to date
Conniekat8 - Hah, thanks, when i grow up i might want something to
monstertree - time is expanding, hope i make the most of it , thanks for stooping by
kingkostas - thanks Kosts, keeping myself busy, with good reason
Yah, been absent for some time now and I hope it was worth it, I'm working on a short comic, soon ill return with some previews but so far i brought you an old attempt for a comic, this is a two-page scene from a couple of months ago when i was playing with some ideas and whatnot. The one I'm working on now is made in a different style , Keep close , ill return soon with goodies now I'll get to some coffee and drawing.

yo mate thanks for the add. Interesting environment. The perspective have issues but as far as you pass the message you want, everything is ok
September 19th, 2011 #20
Yeah as kostas says there are some perspective issues... Loomis is good at perspective. Out of all of Loomis's books, I think he puts the easiest to understand explanation in "Successful Drawing" (it's also pretty advanced... I didn't know some of the stuff in there after going through several courses in it).
Good to see you back

kingkostas - thanks kosts, it's not an envo. it's a double page for a comic book test . Issues with perspective, that's one way to put it , but in my personal work i don't like using strict and exact perspective, i like to say that i bend it to my will. It usually use perspective as a mean of telling the story as for environments with "accurate" perspective, if is needed or asked for i can do that.
p sage thanks sage, i had my share of art tutorials, but thanks for the advice, look at the comment above about the faulty perspective thing ^^
So, as promised I'm back with a 1st preview (linework) from the comic I'm working on, now I'm in the final stages, coloring and text.
this is a page with some random scenes and the other one is a double page
next preview will be some color .

Always liked your work, good to see you're back! I think taking a break from posting stuff helps a lot, I know it does for me as well...

Cool work. I like your use of colour and the distorted perspective in some of your scenes. Your cityscapes have perspective issues, though. Make sure that lines that are supposed to be parallel (verticals in post #1, horizontals heading to the horizon in post #18) converge to one vanishing point.

Two months and some days have passed and I finally brought myself to make a post, lots of neat stuff happened in all that time, ill just try to sum up most of them.
At the end of October i was invited to Serbia at the Comixiade comics Jam, great week filled by great stuff, great people and great creative energy. I got to work on two comics, jamming with other artists, and two of my own, which i did after i returned to Bucharest.
this is an illustration comic
a scene from one of the comics i worked on "Bokito the gorilla", you can find the story of this humanized gorilla on wikipedia, as long as we have a wikipedia
when i got back i did an illustration for vice magazine romania
after that the unholy-day's came, i drew a Santa hobo in the spirit of whatever ...
and as boring as that time of year gets, January came with a boom, people started protesting on the streets of my miserable city, unsatisfied by how baddy they are being cornholed by their leaders.
I somehow ended up right in the middle of it all. Next day someone sent me this picture, I was just passing by a burning wreckage left behind by the angry protesters.
i was with two other friends, trying to capture the brutal nature of it all, the bits that reporters would not go into, we got pepper sprayed, almost beat up by the gendarmes, almost got our heads by rocks thrown by the protesters and gendarmes alike, wet, cold, and in the end body checked.
here is some video footage, one of my friends posted on youtube, i am sorry, it is not translated, few people will understand what people are saying around there for the others if you tend to get bored while watching it start in parallel "wings of change" , "white riot" or any other song that would make you feel like something is going on there ,
getting back to a more peaceful and creative setting, after those events [about 10 days ago], i got back to working on my stuff, i finished a 4 page b&w comic in 2 days, short deadline.
You can find this one on my blog(link at the bottom). It's about a dream i had, i made it for the "Distorted mirror comic anthology"
and still have 2 more comics to finish till the end of the month .
So far it was an interesting 2 months full of events that jump-started and made me work with more energy.
See ya next time!
P.S. Sorry for not replying, i will do it next time

p sage - heheheh, nice to see that it hat that specific effect, it was made for a Halloween exhibition
Cranberry - ha! you can call it that ), but usually after i draw alot i prefer to go out, but most of the time i return shitface drunk, and after that there is no more posting time , thanks for dropping by
vineris - sure, a concept art environment demands lots of perspective attention, neatness and standard procedure, which after a while becomes kinda boring but nonetheless it can be done by finding some other things in the environment to keep you on your toes, that there is a prime example of not paying attention to that specific necessity . Cant wait to do another c.a. environment to see what happens this time
Icecold - thanks, yah, this is Giorge 2.0.12
blindshot - thanks, i consider layouts to be one of the most important design milestones in working on a comic , hang around, more comics to come
Waaaaawawaaaaa, snow is here, in massive quantities, enough to make your glutes hurt from to much effort, walking from point A to point B trough the snow proves to be some sort of unnecessary quest that you have to do, or else you won't get any, any something, you know ...
So i almost finished coloring another comic, did it for Comixiade and Kus magazine, but got kinda late with Kus probably wont get published,
here is a teaser, the readable version will probably be in one of the two mentioned publishers after that on issuu as well
double page layout
one more comic to finish this month, this one's gonna be tricky, 18 pages!!!
