These studies are great to do, but watch your perspective. In the twisted box study you have a lot of reverse perspective going on. You should never have your parallel sides getting closer towards the side that is visible, because that side is closer. You are going in the right direction just make sure you don't, get into bad habits.

thanks for the feedback. i got a bit complacent with those box forms as i dragged on. maybe if i take quick breaks or glances every now and then it might help.

think i used too much fixative as the other side of the page is showing. i'm looking at getting an a3 scanner cause i realised, drawing on a4, i'm not able to fit as much onto the page as i'd like. i guess i could always use photomerge but i'll have to give it a go, see how it works out.

I just read your sketchbook and I can see improvement from your first few posts
You're working really hard; keep it up! Keep practicing!

I would say that your geometric shapes are good, and you should focus on natural forms for a while. Not just the human body but still life drawing etc some of which I saw in your first few posts.

Remember if you're drawing you're getting better. Also, treat these studies like you are studying for a test, study everything that might help you the next time you draw it or something like it. Keep up the good work.

I love doing thumbnails sketches. They're quick and creative, and they get your brain going. Keep it up. Hope to see more updates soon.

tumbler's very crooked and the banana was a real struggle but the hands were by the the most frustrating. nothing went to right way today. maybe the next batch will turn out better.

Nice update. Don't worry if your studies go the right way. The point of these studies are to learn, not to make pretty pictures. I see that your ellipses are off. Ellipses are connected to the perspective of your picture, so if the ellipse is describing a different perspective it throws everything off. Here is a guide that may help you in this area. http://userwww.sfsu.edu/trogu/420/re.../ellipses.html

Keep the studies coming, and don't forget to draw for fun too.

With the hands I find it helps to break it down a little further than that first. Basic shape of the palm and the direction and shape of the fingers. Working for life is always good practice. Don't be afraid to put shadows in while you are working.

some character concepts. i started out with the silhouettes rather uncomfortably but somehow fell into a rhythm. think some of it might come across as a little generic though

I like your latest enviroments . Your gestures have been improving but and not to be mean but I can see the action but I can't see the forms. Check out proko videos on the bean . Also check your proportions. I got Into the bad habbit of drawing figures only 5 heads high from just doing gestures. Gesture drawing is good but it can create bad habbits . Study anatomy and proportions along with gesture it will help a lot . I would first start doing some still life's with some folded fabric . Draw a lot of simple shapes.
I hope that helps. You've improved a lot. keep going!
