    raminafshari oh thankyou bro.

Im on holidays now. Expect more frequent and better updates. Im planning on working on stuff i wouldn't normally do. (proper digital painting as an example) crits always welcome, thanks.

This thing is for uni, idk if its finished. I dont like the hand. As a matter of fact, i don't like any of it.

omg those lines, my eyes XD
You're amazing, it's rare that I find a sketchbook with such unique and interesting stylizing
There's little to no useful advice I can think of so I just leave this here (maybe you'd love this style)

Ey, feller! You know I can't get enough of that bold style of yours so keep churning it out.

What I would like though is more experimentation with colours. 243 pops out to me, because the colour combinations are interesting, but I can bet you can go even further, so keep on experimenting.

The only crit I have to offer is to vary the colour a bit, in that pic of the forest. It looks a bit flat. As you go into the distance of a forest the colour changes, there's shadows and patches of sunlight, etc. I like the greenery in that picture.

Loving your line quality. Super enjoyable on the eyes.

Also digging the cross hatching and styling.

Definitely going to have to invest some time starting from page one and giving your sketchbook a nice solid look through.

I can only appreciate you so much before you start to depreciate. I limit you because I love you.

I think you have a very powerful style! I love how the lines are straight and hard-edged -- it really gives strength to your pieces and demands attention. Kickass stuff, keep it up !!

And yes, that DOES look like a hand .

Umbravita Thanks for the crit, i see what u mean as things go off in the distance etc, and varying colours. The ref had tonnes of fog in it, i tried to emulate that, but i shud have added more green tones. thanks!
    Jephyr X Thanks jephyr!
teapo thanks teapo. Yeah im enjoying it, its a great tablet. Im pretty bad at painting, so ive procrastinated using it a tiny bit. But fear not, that thing is gunna get a workout. Yeah acrylics haha, we will wait to see how that turns out!

I think your best stuff are the ones where you mix your more stylized linework with softer pencil (or whatever medium that is) shading defining the forms. The middle creature on the right in post #241 is a totally badass example of what I mean.

biteschlessen Thanks man, i see which one your talking about. Thankyou, i mite continue that path a bit.

Sorry for small post, i did some other crap, not worth posting imo. Digital painting aint going so well, i'll stick at it of course. I need to set myself a clear plan, (i sort of already have) to manage my time well, draw well and properly , etc....

dude i know how you feel with the digital paint you just have to keep practicing my digital paint sucks i end up not even saving most of it and it would be really interesting to see a study done with no stylization

prsnsweeney Yeah man, its a learning curve, but not to worry, we will both get there in the end. Im not taking it seriously enough i think. Yeah some proper studies wud be good. Ill try my best.

Some (very) quick sketches of faces, and some photoshop fails....My plan is slowly coming together, to find a good, stable amount of art + other things per day, and pushing myself into unfamiliar territory.

HAHA I can see you have the same problem I do -- painting god damn ellipses....The drawings are fantastic but I think for the paintings you could do well by making more subtle gradations of value. A great way to do that is to set the flow to something like 40% (like in Zhang Lu's portrait videos...something like that) and build it all up to turn and play with the form. Keep it up!

Good work! I really like your style. Your line work has improved since the first pages and is showing much more fluidity. Continue working on your anatomy studies...I know it is a bit tedious but it will def pay in the long run. You've got all my encouragements!!!!

Loving some of those last faces, and is it just me or are you intergrating nice soft shading more with your usually linear style? Either way, I'm liking the experimentation.
Keep up the good work, mate
