Oh I am so happy that you come back to anatomie !
This is nice that you go over it and try to practice it again , you will have always something to learn anyway.
I have to say that I totally agree with the 3 points you mentionned.
If you stay in that way and stay focus , you will be able to do whatever you want , plus have fun : D that's awesome , keep it up !

    MilesE: Thank you!
mushroomz: Yeah, I really want to get further into anatomy, to actually start knowing and remembering shapes, muscle- and bonestructures better.
I'll try my best, thank you very much man.

Arms arms arms, time to start practicing. It's funny how you start to remember those muscles (plus draw them nicely) a lot better when you just repeat,
repeat and repeat. And ballpoint pen, love it for studying.

Yep I agree with Mush, I already see some improvements in this last post. That's the way to go mate, and to be honest it really motivates me also.
Stick to it, stay consistent in your work and it will pay.
Anyway i'm glad you decided to work and those weaknesses, let's fight them !

mushroomz: Thanks mate! It's gonna be a long road indeed, I hope it's worth it and that I can make it.
timo.: It's really difficult, a lot of things to remember and to practice but well...
You have to start with something, and I guess it's still better than doing stuff you already feel comfortable with. Thanks!

More arms for today, maybe tomorrow I'll move into something else for change. Of course coming back to this later on,
I was thinking of making a some type of schedule for myself with these... We'll see.

I finally went to this one antiquarian bookstore, because I had heard there might be some cool books concerning art and stuff.
Well, I didn't find that many traditional artbooks, but I wandered around for a while and oh, what do we have here...
Something to provide a lil' bit of inspiration, right?

Also Dinotopia was a must buy, I remember reading (or looking at the pictures) it through quite a many times as a kid and I had been
kinda looking for it for a while now, especially when I grew a bit older and found more about the author.

So here's what I found, and of course also today's studies. Whoo!

More anatomy, slowly moving to torso and trying out different stuff like movement... Little by little I guess, I think I'll start moving to other parts of the body soon.

I also need to do more figure studies probably, but I'm quite happy because I'm still doing this and it feels great!

    Bambam baaam!

Some anatomystudies for you guys. As you can see, I'm moving to legs now and probably torso is the next one. Also, I finished my "Souldancer" picture and I'm quite happy with it now, thanks for the crits and comments.

My vacation also started, feeling good!

Yo mate!!! You have done great progress and you still keep up improving. Awesome, i like a lot of your works and the potential is amazing. You have interesting designs and thats important. Rendering will improve more soon, and same goes for everything else. The design part seems to be the hardest.
    Keep up the good work!!!

kingkostas: Hey man, awesome to hear from you!
Thank you so very much, I truly appreciate what you are saying and I find it just amazing that you think that.
I'll do my best and you too!

...like the woman was finished, no way. Thanks for all the guys with crits and comments, I just had to change some things with the lady... I tilted the body a bit more towards the viewer, added some contrast and details also, and I have to say it looks better now. Thank you!

Aand some anatomystudies also, plus a progress sheet of "Souldancer"!

Hey.... I know this is kinda weird but i'm in love with you. jkjk But your art is kick-ass. How long have you been drawing serious and how old are you??

Do a lot of work and your work will be as good as your ambitions.

Eternal Apprentice: This came so fast... But seriously thank you very much, great to hear and I totally appreciate that!
I have been drawing all my life, but I think like about 2 years ago I thought more seriously about drawing and painting,
and some time after that I started actually practicing just for the sake of getting better. Oh, and I'm 23 years old. (THAT OLD ALREADY?!)

Some progress on the dragon piece, comments and crits very welcome still!
And yeah, I also made a progress videos/tutorial about the "Souldancer" piece, it's not of the whole picture but at least from the start to a decent point. So, here you go:

Souldancer - My Painting Process (Part 1)

Hey all, it's been some time since the last update. Summer, you know.

Anyway, here's something for you: a StarCraft 2 painting that I painted live at Assembly Summer 2012, we had our school's stand there with TV and computers etc.
Also some concept art + a colorstudy of a Satanic Leaf Tailed Gecko.

Oh man, I'm pretty certain that your work will be rewarded at some point!
Really really inspiring stuff, anatomy study, use of color, light and shadow.

Watching this sketchbook in awe makes me question what the hell am I doing
I mean I really really gotta start doing studies like this and give my lazy ass a kick!

#102, #107 and many many more.

Also I made a quick thumbs up for you!

Heeeey everyone! I am back, after too long of a time, I have to admit.

Psychobuddy: Thanks a lot, I will!
ChisLu: Thank you, studies really help. Need to get doing more of those though.^^
Satu: Hey, another Finn! Thank you very much, need to start keeping this up more often definetely.
kingkostas: Thanks a lot mate, also good to hear my music choice was good! Draconian kicks ass.
    PeteJ: Haha, thank you!
Joona: Thanks a lot man, great to hear it's inspiring you to do more. Just practice practice practice like hell and it'll all be good, need to get doing things more myself, too. Also thanks for the thumbs up, it was a beautiful thumb!

Okay, so what's up. Lots of school stuff and some random work/commissions, trying to survive and paint as much as I can
while doing all the other stuff too. Gonna do a couple of more portfolio pieces and then I've been planning to start focusing
more on design, also do more studies.

Here's a HUGE ASS update, consisting of stuff for a game project, sketchbook, digital sketching, studying, WIPs, finished
pieces and what not. Can't even remember anymore, hope you guys dig these! Cheers \o/
