Forgot to load yesterdays, oops =/

Also, pencil will have to wait because my crappy day job is making it difficult for me to scan it in.

Tiredness and work are hampering my practice time
    What is one to do?

Todays was hard. I used muted pallet to try and further convey the expression. Think my eye knowledge is getting beter also.

Practice on male anatomy and lighting.

Yet another area which needs working on.

Also, i just noticed, perhaps its a sign that im doin to many self portraits when any other face i try to paint ends up looking like my own =///

I'n responce to my last post, i'm doing things abit differently. I'm going to continue my portraits but focus on other people instead of my own.
Hugh Jackman portrait, unfinished but I'm prity pushed for the amount of time i can spend on these things =/
Also, a couple of very quick speedies experimenting with comp and brushes.

    Abe Sapian, hellboys mate.

Bit of a random portrait and done in very short amount of time, but prob one of the most fun portraits ive ever done.

The day i can free style characters like this from imagination will be a great day. ;p

Also, prob not even worth loading up but a few 5 minute brain fart/environment/brush experiment/composition experiments done yesterday.

I guess yesterdays dude was stuck in my head.

1st portrait ive free styled and this just kinda came out. Laters when experimenting with brushes I managed to fuck it all up by doing it all one 1 layer

    Anyways, daily portrait update.

Heres one of my characters I built for college. Started with a sketch in photoshop, then built and textured in 3DS Max and finally touched up again in photoshop.

Bit of a crappy update, nothin seems to be working at the moment. Everything I do ends up shit...

Self portrait practice which ended shit
    Unfinished Chow entry
    Crappy thumbnails
And crappy environment attempt - This is about as far as my environment skills from my imagination go so far. If anybody has any advice, tips etc to help me improve them I would be greatly appreciated!!

MaFeng Thanks for your compliments, i'm glad some progressions can be seen because I'm havin abit of trouble noticing it ;p

Some more scraps, couple of quick life studies and another self portrait.

Ive seemed to hit abit of a brick wall with the portraits, not sure what i'm supposed to be doing to improve these further as improvement with them has come to abit of a halt. Any crits, suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Been i while since ive updated. Everything I do at the moment ends up complete crap so as a result ive been having alot of trouble with motivation and confidence recently.

Heres a self portrait - one layer - one brush - one hour

Speed paint environment practice. About one hour 30 mins.

Nothing too exiting, finally got abit of sketchbook stuff up. Until I get my own camera or scanner its still a pain to get this stuff here.

Studying skulls and basic anatomy, and also a value study.

Really like your concept work. Maybe try doing one with all your brushes at 100 opacity it will give you a much more solid look with less blurr.

If anything it forces you to be more precise with the colour/tone you are using as every stroke will have more contrast at the edges

Rubina8tor Good advice man thanks! I usually use standard hard brush on 100% but with 'transfer' on which basically makes the brush sensitive to how much pressure you put on the tablet. I never really thought of using the brush without, but I will next time

Another dump of random stuff. Having abit of trouble with time management and self motivation =/ I have a very short attention span which means I get bored easily. (Make note - Find a way to destroy this part of myself ;p)

    Sketchybooky studies
WIP on the dragon which I missed the deadline for, but I will finish...
    WIP on COW 112
Random portrait I did from imagination studying value
    Me zombified!! ;D
